well, I wasn't making a statement...it was more like a question. And Skiles was a great player but on some bad Orlando teams...when Orlando came into their own he was gone. Del Negro and Brooks were def. benchwarmers, I think Del Negro was a CBA'er before San Antonio came calling and was fighting for a job with Keith Jennings or somebody

Being good at something and being able to relate that information to others is not the same thing. It is like those College professors you get who you know are very smart and knowledgeable, but can't explain it to their class.

It's the resurrection of the old Wannstedt love affair repeat with anecdotes of bumping into coach in the hallways and improtu chalk talk. This was before Bernstine was a host so he could go more into how real the personal bond was, now its more about how Emery has so much autonomy and authority.

Yeah, BernSTINE wasn't some gumshoe slueth going through Wanny's garbage cans, hounding him with hard hitting questions, peering through his windows at night or hacking his computer.

He does do all of this with Theo though, in a more sexual way, of course.

Bernstein got the gig because he was an excellent beat reporter and had a different tone than everybody else at the station at that time. He was a humorous, refreshing, and insightful change of pace.

The irony is that now nearly everybody that walks in now sounds like him and now anybody else would be a refreshing change of pace.

The Clippers start the night 27-8 and have the NBA's best record, believe it or not going into a home game vs. the Mavericks at STAPLES Center. However, OKC, the jury is still very much out on Vinny Del Negro as an NBA head coach despite the Clippers sporting the NBA's best record. These guys still aren't sold on VDN, even with the Clips atop the standings & league power rankings.
