Wait, how is Dan defending Mike Piazza and saying you can't prove nothin' about no one when he was the same guy who said "you have to suspect everyone"?

Now he thinks the steroid guys should go in. Try to keep up.

I think Spiegs is in the same boat. He said this morning that "you can't have a Hall of Fame without Barry Bonds."

It makes me laugh. Ty Cobb is always the poster boy for why you should let the steroid people in the HOF.

The argument is always, "Well, Ty Cobb was a racist, and he got in, so everybody should get in the HOF if they have the stats."

Ty Cobb played in the early 1900s. All white people in the early 1900s were racist!!!! Christ, the very league he played in didn't allow black players. MLB endorsed racism at the time.

With back-to-back spots for pills that make my libido increase fivefold (!!!!!) and essential oils that stop me from snoring, the Score is getting more snake-oily than usual.

Oh, and hey Matt Rodewald, you don't need to keep pretending twice an hour that you were just handed the bulletin that the Jaguars fired Mike Mularkey. "Five spots open WHUP WAIT NO MAKE THAT SIX." Yes we get it. It's not breaking news at 3 p.m.

Well Ty Cobb was incredibly grouchy too.

And of course no Hall of Fame talk would be complete without bitching about Ron Santo! Hot fresh sports talk served up daily!

I've noticed that about Rodey over the last few months. As an update guy, you're suppose to change your copy up. Obviously it's gonna be a lot of the same stories, but just change the writing to say it differently. He's to lazy to do that. I remember once he told the same stupid Joe Paterno joke in every update. He thought it was hilarious every time. You could actually hear the pride in his voice over his stupid joke.

You can also tell The SCORE is shorthanded, too. It's been a long day already for the John Clayton-sounding Matt Rodewald, who also did updates on the "Mac & Spiegs Show" before this show.

I think we'll start getting "Randazzled" in about 2 hours from now when the voice of the Kane County Cougars, Wayne Randazzo, takes over for Rodie in the update studio.

That reminds me. Where the hell are the Jenny Jones-looking Kerry Sayers and the best of the update guys before shifting full time to WBBM Newsradio Joe Bartosch?

"Businesses are copycat...businesses."

I have no doubt whatsoever that Doug Gottlieb's descriptive anagram of "Jeremy Irons" would be "Jeremy's Iron."

I'm definitely getting the Doug Gottlieb's Book of Genesis audiobook.

Thanks, Doug Gottlieb!

Another gem from Gottlieb in a hour...

By the way, with Gottlieb on assignment working the UNLV/New Mexico basketball game, there was a Roger Lodge sighting on my TV last night. Lodge, now morning man at Anaheim's KLAA-AM, was guest hosting Gottlieb's "Lead Off" on CBS Sports Network late last night. Gottlieb's co-host Allie LaForce...Nowhere to be found.

What was the point of that minute, anyway?

Businesses are copycat businesses.
To wit: first there was Pinkberry, now there are other frozen yogurt things.
NFL teams hired college coaches and they worked.
Now other teams hired college coaches.
The Seahawks hired College Coach Pete Carroll, though he had coached in the NFL for roughly 15 years.
Teams tried to hire Chip Kelly but he stayed in college.
This proves that the NFL is a copycat NFL.

I listened for about five minutes on my way home and heard Dan comparing scuffing a baseball to steroid use in terms of cheating. Was that correct?
