If it means Broncos' OC Mike McCoy is the choice, not Montreal Alouettes' HC Marc Trestman, I have no problem with that. GM Phil Emery can't screw this up.

Weren't you listening yesterday? Terry's guy has stated that as of 1/9/2013, Emery had met with and knew who he was going to hire. Take a week, take a month. It's a done deal already.

For all I know, this could be GM Phil Emery's only chance to hire a head coach during his tenure. The last thing the Bears need is Dave McGinnis all over again 15 years ago.

Potential Reasons:

1. M&S are taking over afternoons, B&B got the official word and are pouting. Thus B&B no wanna speaka to da ma nea because they believe he masterminded the move over their heads and behind their backs. There probably is a meeting to discuss the takeover with Mitch and Zim. That's probably not a lie

2. Bernstein filed a formal complaint to human resources about Mac speaking about his sexual perversion on the air. Bernstein wants it resloved before he speaks to Dan McNeil again. The meeting is with human resources. So it actually could be that HR suggested that Mac not speak to Bernstein until it's resloved. That would be standard procedure.

Dan really likes Marc Trestman. A head coach in a professional league! Of course, it's a professional league where Henry Burris is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, but a head coach in a professional league nevertheless!

That CFL also provided Hall of Fame QB Warren Moon as well as Doug Flutie to the NFL, too. Moon & Flutie had long careers in the NFL. Henry Burris...Not so much.

The CFL is not a professional league. By this logic the Bears should hire He Hate Me as their new RB coach.

Who was the one that said the Score's lineup will change after the Super Bowl with Terry retiring? That's about a month away.

Something to consider: the last time the CFL was even remotely relevant as a league, there were only 28 NFL teams. That's 200some new NFL jobs for guys who don't have to go to the CFL anymore. Best I can tell, the CFL is more or less the Rough Riders, the Alouettes, and a bunch of crap.

Beardown, there was a Sun-Times story a while back about rumored lineup changes at The SCORE, but the guy who wrote the story isn't with the paper anymore. That's Jim O'Donnell. Besides, such lineup changes haven't come to fruition.

Montreal is not a "major media market" for the CFL. The CFL doesn't have major media markets. No one gives a fuck about the Argonauts in Toronto, either.

It shouldn't be a debate. Good coaches bring in FAR more money than they are paid.
If a professor could bring in $20+ million a year for the school they'd deserve to be paid accordingly too.
