The field is 110 yards too I think

You are correct. 110 yards long in the CFL...65 yards wide.

Tressman has written a book (according to Bernsie) though!

The other thing, I doubt very much Jimmy Johnson misheard anything.

Someone literally just apologized to Dan for his opinion. Granted, it was a dumb opinion, but that was pathetic.

NBC Sports Network aired CFL games this past season after NFL Network aired the games in the U.S. the last 2 seasons. Both NFLN & NBCSN used the TSN feed.

End zones are 20 yards deep and not 10. Goalposts on goal lines.

The CFL is a better league as there's no celebration penalties.

JBills has at least acknowledged the thread. BD treats it like it doesn't exist. :(

No tranny for "meetings"? On a Friday afternoon?

Couldn't wait another 30 minutes to start? Tranny isn't that big of a deal, but this is a surprise nonetheless.

Interesting. Of course a meeting could have waited until 1:20 so they could do tranny.

Potential Reasons:

1. M&S are taking over afternoons, B&B got the official word and are pouting. Thus B&B no wanna speaka to da ma nea because they believe he masterminded the move over their heads and behind their backs. There probably is a meeting to discuss the takeover with Mitch and Zim. That's probably not a lie

2. Bernstein filed a formal complaint to human resources about Mac speaking about his sexual perversion on the air. Bernstein wants it resloved before he speaks to Dan McNeil again. The meeting is with human resources. So it actually could be that HR suggested that Mac not speak to Bernstein until it's resloved. That would be standard procedure.

3. B&B move to morning drive, Spiegel and Laurence are on Middays, Mac and Oak Park Vandy are on 1-6, and Beardown is a loon.

your post is probably in jest, but I remember Bernsie telling me that Terry's last contract had a clause protecting him from having to work mornings.

Wasn't in jest. It was plausible speculation. Much like B&B are doing with this Emery coaching hire. Your info about Terry's clause is significant. It gives more credence to Terry retiring with them just eating the rest of his contract. Might be that Mitch and Zim want to make the move now and not wait for Terry to expire...or his contract.

I always found Terry claiming to have a guy or some source with credible info weird seeing as how he's been out of journalism for 20 years.

Who are their sources if they have any?

To repeat. Your speculation is all wrong. Speigal had a demo with Mondopad. M&S have mentioned this the past two days.

Is this the Jackson 5 on these promos? It sounds like something from the 70s. Getting to be annoying. But I will take any day over Kars 4 Kids.

Is there any plausible reason (besides the fact that he's lying) that Terry can't dispense with the juvenile "I've got a secret!" bullshit and just say "Sources have told me that Phil Emery is going to hire ________."?

It's the song that they use for the daily "10 Seconds of Glory".

Right now, Bulls' talk with CSNChicago.com's Aggrey Sam live from New York on the Home Run Inn Pizza Hotline.

Straight from David Schuster, who's sticking around to do "Scoreboards" on this show. You are correct.

It's been annoying, but I don't have to PTFB when it comes on like I do with Kars 4 Kids or the incredibly repulsive Rosen commercials. As soon as I hear that "Rosen...Rosen..." I leap for the radio to PTFB, and a couple times I actually knocked it off the shelf.

Kars 4 Kids is awful on so many levels but if you do a little research on them, you'll realize it's most likely a scam. I can't stand when companies use kids to endear their brand to consumers, especially when it's fake.

Easy, simple, logical explanation. It's Friday and it's no secret M&S don't enjoy tranny. So Spiegs provides a perfect excuse to skip out and start the weekend 20 minutes early.

It shouldn't be a debate. Good coaches bring in FAR more money than they are paid.

Are you serious? You think its right that football coaches make that much more?
If a professor could bring in $20+ million a year for the school they'd deserve to be paid accordingly too.

I disagree.

Fireman dont bring in any money. I think they should be highly paid.

But I dont think any coach is bringing in 20 million. I mean, what was Alabama making a year on football before Saban? Now what do they make? That amount is what he truly brings in

Could be that. Could also be that this "demo with mondopad" was made up to take this message board off the scent of an HR or "Show change" meeting. Also could be to throw Bernstein off the scent as he might not be totally aware of what's going down.

It turns out Trestman did write a book. But I thought Bernstein's rule was never read a book written by a coach?

He's been out if the league for a while. In that time offenses have changed. Does Bernstein wonder about that?

Boers and Bernstein were complaining about their callers just now, a real rarity for them. My hypothesis is that they're trying to make their impending move sound better to themselves.

I don't think fireman are really relevant here, but if there was a fireman that could generate millions of dollars more than what they make they'd get it from someone.

It depends how you frame the debate. You seem to have an issue with how coaches make more than a professor. If Alabama hired a coach with a limit as what a professor makes it would cost them $20 million a year without a doubt. I know for a fact that Purdue going cheap on a coach has cost them about $10 million a year(depending on how you do the accounting).

To put it another way, Nick Saban makes Alabama money even with his salary.
