Seriously, this guy is nearing 40 and he's still acting like an idiot. They're his coworkers, show some respect. They'll have to hope they get better gigs like Ginger and Paula Faris to get away from him. This guy is openly slobbering over them on the air, wow.

Grow up.

Why is he bringing them on?

Thanks to today's show, I made my own white trash bibimbap with rice, eggs, peppers, onions, carrots, garlic, black pepper, red pepper flakes, tuna, and sriracha. Now this is good eatin'! Eggs ahoy.

He also has a solid resume that includes a blockbuster couple of years with the K.C. Chiefs.

I am certainly not carrying Emery's water but how many times do I need to read this disinformation? Pieoli drafted in KC not Emery. And even if he did the shitty chiefs had 5 pro bowlers this year. Methinks KC's issues are coaching. They had Weiss, Haley, Crennel?

He was Director of Pro Personnel, he had his hands in the Chiefs operation.

Well usually that position is responsible for trades and FA signings. I am gonna go with the KC and ATL stuff as an ok job and give him more than one year here to decide.

As for Tebow, I'd let him stew in the CFL for a year, let him learn he's not a quarterback, and bring him back as a tight end or fullback once he's been properly humbled.

It's my understanding that the Montreal Alouettes actually own Tim Tebow's rights north of the border. It probably would be a smart idea to convert Tebow. They should've done that when he was originally drafted by the Denver Broncos.

Post subject: Re: Tim TebowPosted: Mon Dec 24, 2012 1:39 pm

The Sports Poster of the Year gave you this nugget December 24th I believe the NFL and "those in the know" don't give Tebow his just due credit . I believe Tim will win a championship and MVP just like another QB the NFL thought sucked!!!!!!!! That's right Henry Burris!!!!TT will pack up his Bible and head to the CFL.....you heard it here 1st!!!

He was the director of scouting for both the Falcons and the Chiefs, and the drafts under his tenure by-and-large sucked.

Also note that both franchises utterly collapsed either at the end of, or immediately after, his tenure. Also note how much better Atlanta drafting became after he left.

We have a LOT of evidence that Emery is a terrible evaluator of talent.

I presume he's bringing them on just so he can ogle them and act like a big shot radio host in front of them. A psychology student could write their dissertation just on this guy alone. He exhibits so many tells of a guy who has low self esteem and is overcompensating by acting macho, manly, studly, smart, superior, etc..., etc..., etc...When the weather ladies are on, it is guaranteed that he'll mention that he's a professor at DePaul, he'll refer to "my students" several times, he'll drop names of sports players he thinks he's "tight" or "buddies" with, he'll refer to "my show" about a dozen times, as well as refer to the supporting crew as "my A-Team". I mean it goes on and on and on.

I don't know, but I do know Terry was dying to dismiss caller Bobby from the Quad Cities on general principle until danny heard something he thought was a "loophole" in the rules (that wasn't really a loophole at all) and wanted to play football lawyer for an hour or so.

hey CH, what's up with the division/chicago avatar? obviously they're parallel streets that don't intersect, but did someone in one of our beloved radio fiefdoms recently claim that they did? is this along the lines of jason goff's mentions of the mythical chicago ave?

That was Jason's line from the White Sox attendance rant, that anything on the south side is just as bad at Division and Chicago.

A 130x130 limit does not lend itself to parodying L signage, I gotta say, but thanks.

CH is continuing to make a mockery of the best / funniest avatar award I see. Gonna have to just rename it after him and make him ineligible to compete.

IDK? The Falcons seem good to me? When did Emery leave there? I'll stand by the Chicefs having good players with no coaching.

back in my yout, when professional wrestling was in its decentralized glory, there was a bad guy named, I believe "The Halsted Street Warrior". The billed him as being from the toughest street in America. I know Halsted hits some rough patches but generally I find it to be a pretty tame lane.

Chicago and Division get pretty rough the further west you go. I won't go down Chicago at night, prefer Lake or North.

One Man Gang was billed as being from Halsted Street, Chicago.

I think Dick the Bruiser was billed as being from Halsted Street, too. I always liked when guys were from "Parts Unknown."

Halsted was tougher when the Greens and the Ogden Viaduct were still standing.

 I happened to catch a glimpse of Project Runway: All-Stars as my girlfriend was watching it last night. One of the designers was wearing a shirt that I recognized as being the same as the gay leather flag that is hanging at Touche' or Jackhammer on Clark Street. Black and blue stripes with a red heart. Cool shirt, guy! Bye, Mood!

Yeah but even back then there was a big sideyard between the projects and Halsted that gave them kind of an adventure park feel as you drove along Halsted...and you could get to safe havens like The Golden Ox pretty quickly.
