Im getting rather sick of his stance that he now takes on everything. If you don't 100% KNOW what the result of an action will be, then you can't possibly have an opinion on it. Doesn't be realize that one of the requirements for hosting a sports show is usually to have an opinion on something? I wish he pulls this shit with his guests when they are prognosticating about the NFL or NBA.

Guest: I think the 49ers will win this weekend.
Dan: WHY??!!! HOW COULD YOU POSSIBLY KNOW THAT???!!!

That's all this fucking coach search boils down to. People have seen every candidate's credentials and are making reasonable or educated(or uneducated, doesn't matter) guesses on who will be the best fit. He needs to stop acting like you can't have an opinion just because your opinion might end up being wrong. He just looks like an idiot when he answers "I don't know" to every other legitimate question someone calls in with. We know you don't know, we're asking for your opinion you arrogant dipshit.

I think his entire schtick has gotten old with everyone, and run its course. For a while around here, people were casting firestone and brim towards our arrogant host, because deep down they cared about the wrong direction the show was heading. Shortly after, there was an acceptance of "this is how it is, so...". And now its turned into disinterest.

I think I saw a tumble weed float by this B&B message board just now.

I'm starting to think that Berns is as disconnected from the Sports world as Terry. Both Dan & Terry would benefit from a change of partners & scenery.

I thought the original point of their discussion was for people to not get upset that the Bears lost out on McCoy because you don't know if a coach will be a genius or a complete failure. I can accept that you can't tell the future, but I agree with FarveFan on this. You have to be critical of whether the attributes he brought to the table may have been better or worse than the other candidates. Its a completely valid reason to be concerned if the Bears didn't get the best candidate out there.

Berns was talking up Jarvis Jones the other day during some draft discussion. I would be willing to bet that he had never heard of Jones, nor had he watched a snap of Georgia football, until he heard Goff talking up Jones, after he went to Atlanta.

Just further proof that it is one talk host's belief that this is the "Golden Era" of Chicago GMs.

The Score needs to send some stuttering rougue reporter to the Trestman press conference to ask him why he thinks there are so many j ews in the management of chicago sports teams.

How many games do you think Goff watched?

Walterfootball mocked the Bears taking Ogletree with their first pick. Will Goff be their expert on the day of the draft if that scenario occurs?

He probably watched some once he got the gig in Atlanta, but you know Bernsie didn't watch one snap.
