Those of you that are great or on your way to greatness, if I may ask a question, why do you do it?

In other words you care about your family. You have your priorities straight.

I agree with drug testing if you do something where if you're under the influence you can hurt someone else. I operate a computer. Not likely to kill someone.

Anyone who operates machinery or automobiles or trucks in their job or anyone with access to finances should be tested.

Interestingly my company has just been bought so we all have to go for drug testing and a full background check.

I have a feeling we may lose some people including a couple on my team.

They're doing hair follicle tests which are the most accurate.

We operate computers. We don't handle money so we can't embezzle to get high. Nobody will die if we enter incorrect info if we're high.

Been researching if you can collect unemployment if you're fired for something that wasn't in place when you were hired. I don't have to worry myself but have been asked.

My position has changed.

If you just do it in the own privacy of your home it should be legal.

If you commit an illegal act under the influence then you need to be punished. For example I think the drunk driving laws are too lenient. Caught 5 year suspension of license. Second time lose it permanently. Killing someone should be the same punishment as 1st degree murder. Okay I should admit I have lost 2 close friends to drunk drivers so my feeling is skewered a bit.

Here's something someone may know.

I wonder if you have a medical prescription for marjuana they take those results differently? I know some drug test facilities ask you if you have a prescription for certain drugs.

I can counter the argument about not being able to be great if you don't do drugs with how many promising people I see ruin their lives by drugs.

Not sure, I don't want to be the Guinea pig to find out...I would assume it would be the same as pissing hot for opiates and producing a Vicodin. Or oxycontin. Prescription.

And taking drugs isn't a recipe for greatness. I would simply suggest that the type of person that is curious about drugs or has a willingness to take them has much larger potential for greatness than those who don't. It isn't an insult.

Did the greatest writer take drugs? Did the greatest president take drugs? Did the greatest singer take drugs? Did the greatest guitarist take drugs? Did the greatest astrophysicist take drugs? Did the greatest baseball player take drugs? Did the greatest bike rider take drugs? I rest my case.

A lot of people do drugs. Some go on to be great. Others don't. It's no different than the straight edge crowd. I only do the moral drugs and I'll never be great but there are other moral drug users who are doing great things.

I do think that mind altering substances help with true creative tasks like writing and singing. They don't really help in basketball or baseball.

She does take drugs, her drug of choice is probably nicotine or caffeine.

The funny thing is marijuana has been targeted by the alcohol,lumber and tobacco Industry out of fear...they know industrial hemp would kill their profits. Industrial hemp is what they fear in the farming and lumber industry, and rightfully so ...one acre of hemp can equal 20 acres of trees for paper pulp, and it takes 20 years for the trees to mature. Hemp is 8 times more efficient in ethyenol production as corn.

Big pharma wants everyone hooked on pills...they fear the flowers on the female plants. Like almost everything in life it all comes down to the Almighty $..some people are just too stupid or naive to see it.
