McNeil's never met a Bears employee he wouldn't call a "pud_____ on a ___," and he's spent two weeks preaching forbearance. Spiegel said today that Trestman brings instant credibility with Cutler because "Cutler will have to listen to someone whose resume is so much more impressive than his"; I'm not a Cutler fan, but in what universe is Marc Trestman's resume more impressive than Jay Cutler's? And of course you have Dan transmogrifying into some screeching Emery-slurping chimera composed of equal parts Intellectual Elitist Bernstein, Wannabe Football Intellectual Bernstein, and PR Expert Bernstein. Maybe every one of those guys suddenly believes in everything the Bears do, but that seems unlikely, doesn't it?
