His friend helped him with this hoax according to deadspin. Do you think it was done to hide the fact that he's gay? Cuz then the rest of his life he could say he never wanted another women. That she was his only love. People would accept that. If he pulled this off, he then could get away with being gay.

Think about this for a second. It says their fake relationship started in 2009. Te'o tells people that this is his girlfriend. So obviously he can't have a girlfriend on NDs campus if he claims to be with a made up girl. Why would a heterosexual do that? So my instincts were right. It was all a "gay" cover. I'm convinced of it now.

This wasn't about getting the heisman. He started this lie when he was a freshman and wasn't even considered for the Heisman at that point.

Starts the lie as a fresmen and conveiniently has the fake girlfriend die in his senior year. C'mon.

He had to kill her off in his senior year. I guess he could get away with it while in college and just say she went to Stanford. Once a pro, people would expect to see the girlfriend.

There are ways to deflect gay rumors that don't involve creating a fake girlfriend, dating Renée Zellweger for example.

Think about the studity of this thing. Think about what Te'o is actually trying to say. That his girlfriend, the love of his life (his words) was a hoax. How is that possible? I can't wait to hear him speak on this. Now the AD of ND is saying that they never actually met according to what Te'o told him. That it was only an internet relationship (Contrary to quotes of Te'o saying he met saw her after a Stanford game and on visits to Hawaii). How do you have a love of your life on line? You obviously don't. This is clearly a Te'o hoax and now he thinks he can get away with a cover up.

I can't wait until we get the entire story. Deadspin will eventually have it.

Here's a thought.

Notre Dame created this. Catholic school. Trying to hide a gay football player. Create a heart-warming love story of their star ND player. Push it. Have him agree to go along with it. Tell him it's in his best interests.

The AD is standing behind him. Why? He doesn't have to. This is on the player and he's leaving. Stay out of it. Unless he's trying to cover his ass.

ND tried to cover up a rape and they also made fools of themselves after the kid died from filming pracitce on a windy day.

ND is a weird place with self righteous, "holier than thou" people running it. They think they can get away with anything. I wouldn't put it past them to mastermind such a hoax.
