When I listen to Danny with Larry, I just dont enjoy the show...and it isn't even all because of Larry.

It's like Dan feels the need to be the old skeptical codger on everything and it just doesnt work.

I know many dont feel Terry adds much and I dont think he has any real sources anymore and he doesn't know what he is talking about half the time and acts like he does, but for entertainment purposes, he is necessary to be there for this show to survive.

Not sure, Dan realizes this and I think when Terry leaves, Danny's ratings will take a massive dive off the deep end.

Unless they can steal Jurko away.

B and J.....the BJ show? and I know for a fact, that is not a hard steal!

If Jurko comes over, doesn't he have to be put with Mac/Spiegs or just Mac? I don't even think I would want to hear a Bernsie/Jurko combo.

Unless you can make Bernstein entertaining. And you can't. Terry's entertaining. Goff to an extent was entertaining as the talkative producer. And also, Larry's not that good.

Rozner is the best choice. He doesn't back down, he can be funny, and he covers Dan's weak spots (hockey, baseball) really well. Neither one knows a lick about football, but one thinks he does.

Spot on. They have enough guests and callers to get all their football information in the building.

New SportClips spot with Mac and Spiegs. Spiegel says his scalp is still tingling from the tea tree shampoo, to which Mac replies...

Agree 100%. I hope Terry sticks around a few more years. In fact as senility takes its toll, he may get more entertaining.

He's not going anywhere. Even with the rugrat(s) he and Peach picked up with the passing one of his sons or daughter-in-law(can't remember which one).

Take that downtown and print it.

Terry's goofiness is the only thing that keeps me listening at this point. I know he's been mailing it in for a good five years now, but he still cracks me up at least a half-dozen times a show.

In re: his replacement, I'm meh on Rozner and remain steadfast that a Bernstein-McNeil pairing would make for superlative radio.

I think it might also result in a premature trip to Shalom Memorial Park for bernstein's family members.

I think it'd be mutual destruction. McNeil would fall off the wagon quick. No way would he agree to leave the well-oiled machine M&S is.

rozner sounds like a schnauzer and his schnauzer is schnauzy sounding like his name schnozer.

put mike north in terrys chair and the score shoots to #1 by a mile.

Either Rozner or Rosey would be great with Berns. The Score is missing the boat with these 2 guys.

Just got my hair cut there today (not because of the commercial) and they threw some tea tree oil in during the cutting.... without asking which I thought was odd. Maybe they've been instructed to do that now.

On second thought, you might be right. bernstein would wear Mac out. Mac isn't a guy to shy from an argument, but he doesn't live to create them either.

Maybe the stylist noticed your lice but didn't want to embarass you by red alerting the entire shop.

There were awkward moments in the ONE show they did before Mac's official return. Probably wouldnt last long, but would be great while it lasts

Terry is a key to keeping the show nominally friendly. However, Terry is a radio chameleon. He allows his co host to define the show (he did during HFC days as well) because taking the lead smacks of work and ultimately the guy is lazy. Unfortunately by allowing Bernstien to set the show's character he has lost a lot of who he is, which is both smart and funny.

Terry will only rarely assert himself these days and only when it's something he really knows and cares about, which is usually going to be baseball related.

danny likes to play lip service to the concept that "it's only sports, who cares?", but Terry is the guy who really believes that. For being so pointless, sports often cause the veins to pop from danny's neck. Terry is just chillin' and countin' his paper.

No other current full-time host other than Holmes would want to work with Bernsy. Mully, Hanley, Spiegs, & Mac all enjoy better ratings and their partners. Any type of bump in pay would be countered by having to deal with Bernstein for 5 hours every day. Takes a special personality to deal with that guy.

Mac is too lazy to do any type of research so he could argue with Bernsie intelligently.

This is exactly how I feel. Terry's contribution at this point is uniquely his. No one's gonna be Terry

I like Rozner more than you do. Laurence hasn't been terrible this week. Dan & Jurko could be interesting. But I still think a Bernstein and JHood show could be great. Both do great impressions, and Dan can drive the show, and Hood knows sports, and has his own unique Rolodex.
