Does Trestman have a magic computer too? Is he going to be upgrading the high speed internet of the Bears offices to handle it?

That press conference diminished my tepid enthusiasm. I was hoping to hear a more all-encompassing vision of the team in all facets but it sounded more like an offensive coordinator with some ideas and we'll figure out the rest with some other guys later.

I hope I'm wrong about being wrong about being right.

It seems like they were kind of hoping Marinelli would be the DC and he said "NO" just hours before the press conference. Probably left them a little lost about what to say about it. He did say the key to defense is "getting to the quarterback" which I guess is a pretty good philosophy.

I always confuse Hatchetman, Don Tiny, denisdman, Phil McCracken, beni hana, Colonel Angus, and Hank Scorpio with one another. It's pretty common, I'm sure. I mean, like, not all of them interchangeably, it's sort of a continuum.

No, I said they were hoping he would stay, but obviously had to realize there was a chance he wouldn't. Seems like Trestman doesn't have real strong opinions about kind of defense to run other than "get to the quarterback." Of course he can't say I want to do "this and this and this" and then what happens (?) when the best DC available doesn't adhere to "this and this and this." Best not say anything when the situation is in flux.
