Am I the only one who's heard enough of this? It's not interesting anymore. I mean it was interesting when it first broke, but now it's just boring and stupid. Hearing these hosts go on and on about how much crazier the story is getting, which is why they have to keep talking about it, reminds me of a bunch of gossipy girls dissecting every detail of one of their friend's boring, pretend life. What's the point of breaking news on a story that's not real??

"Now get this....his girlfriend, who wasn't his girlfriend, called Te'o after she died, but of course she didn't really die, but she wanted to meet him....oh my god!! Can you believe this?? Of course she didn't really want to meet because she doesn't exist, but can you believe this?? Oh yeah...Te'o lied to everyone about it."

Ten minutes later...

"The news keeps breaking on this...it just gets crazier and crazier. Now its being reported that Kekua told Manti...get this...that she faked her death to evade drug dealers!! Oh my god!! Can you believe this!! And on top of it, she doesn't really exist, so she didn't really fake her death to evade drug dealers. Can you believe this stuff??? Oh my god!! And Manti lied about it."

Twenty minutes later...

"This is so weird....now it seems that Kekua's family knew she faked her own death and was actually in on it. But get this...this is the kicker...she didn't really exist. I heard some of Joe O talking about this... he noted that Notre Dame and Manti have been very careful to deny deny deny TO AVOID LAWSUITS. Seriously, lawsuits.... for this.

Back to the topic; its the problem with 24/7 sports coverage. After two days of it, I was sick of hearing his name, the gf's name, the hoaxers name, etc. But everyone needs to dissect it from every angle.

Hell, they dropped the puck on the NHL season, Championship Sunday is tomorrow, Daytona 500 right around the corner, NBA All Star Break soon, and baseball is about to go to spring training.

I hope someone with a brain sits down with the kid, works all this shit out, and then a GM with a brain to realize all this TMZ shit means nothing if the kid can play football drafts him. He's got talent, that's for certain. Shouldn't throw that all away due to internet hoaxing.
