So why this time? To just rub everyone's nose in it? I also like how he started going into MJ territory on his speech.

I sincerely doubt you know why he had to take it twice last time. Maybe you should ask the Chief Justice of the United States...who wrongly administered it from his flawed memory.

But then again, maybe you're right & we all missed the arrogance of the man, in insisting to follow protocol & oh yeah, the Constitution of the United States. Or are you simply/bitterly talking about his use of the very words uttered against him by his poor, vanquished opponents for his job?!?

Oh once again let's point out anything but the question asked shall we?

Last time it was necessary, why two times this one?

edit: yeah I made a mistake, not the first nor last time.

First, you made the remark "Constitutional Lawyer my ass", apparently implying that the POTUS (and not Roberts) made the error in '09, but whatever.

Two times this time, one in line with the Constitutional mandate. It (yesterday's) took less than a minute in the WH Blue Room, and cost little or nothing. Following the law of the land can be a pain in the ass at times.

It certainly would appear that today's event simply was in deference to the long history of presidents being inaugurated on the third Monday of January following the election. And today's event followed cherished American tradition, and avoided the potential (contrived) scandal of having events like today's on the Sabbath.

Oh wait, he isn't Christian. Never mind.

Once again bullshit, First one was on a Tuesday and followed the law that states the President is sworn in on/before Jan 20. So why did he not do it on the 19th?
He is just doing it to be a fucktard

Ronald Reagan was sworn in on January 21st, 1985 for his second term, fucktard.

I was thinking on my way to work today that it is a pretty remarkable statement that the story that we are inaugurating a black president rates only about fifth on the popular news stories of the inauguration

Regan was wrong for doing it that way as well.
Typical politicians fucking around with the law of the land.

There's precedent for doing this, you dipshit.

Five presidents took a private oath when Inauguration Day fell on a Sunday, and then a second oath in a scheduled public ceremony on the next day (Monday): Rutherford B. Chas has a hate for the president that goes beyond politics and it's something I've never really understood. If you're just a casual observer of political news over the past week or so there is no way you wouldn't understand why the president took the oath twice. Why are you so angry Chas?

Chaspoopcup's logic:

Obama has his public inauguration on the 21st, he is a fucktard.
REGAN and others do it, and they are typical politicians.

Why isn't REGAN a fucktard, as well?

The word "fucktard" is actually most applicable to those who use it regularly.

I feel bad for even defending Obama since I really don't like the guy, and I didn't vote for him, but some of the normal stupidity I hear on a daily basis is just ridiculous. There's plenty to criticize the guy for during his presidency, but the crazies obsess about ridiculous things like "Why did he take an oath twice"?

In Chas's defense, Rutherford B. Hayes was actually a true fucktard.

He is a flim flam man. no substance and never has done anything for anyone besides himself. This is the only office he has held that he lasted an entire term in. Although just like his other offices he gets nothing really done. He is an empty suit. He produces nothing.

So one term he served, 2 years is not a full term.

Obama was up for reelection in 1998; Illinois state senators serve one two-year term and two four-year terms each decade.

When he was up for the first 4 year he was trying to get elected for an other job ,the one he lost. He had an absentee rating of 75% when he was in the Illinois Senate. So how the fuck was he doing his job representing his constituents? He wasn't. He got what he always wanted the top spot. The good thing is that after this hopefully he goes away like W but I doubt it,he will keep hanging around like the other ex-Democrat Presidents from recent memory.
We gone over this a hundred times. His track record is nothing to be proud of. He got elected only because he was black, face it. If a white candidate had his background there is no way he would make it to a Federal level. Hell even State level.
I have a dislike of him because of what he HAS voted for, late term abortions. That is a deal breaker for me, I will not nor can not feel anything but dislike for anyone who does not vote an immediate no an passing that kinda shit. Plus the bullshit he pulled on the Catholics to get his health care shit passed, that was a total stab in the back, shows his true colors.

Peeps, when I have been proven wrong do I not admit to it? I own when I fuck up and don't ignore it like most of the people on here.
Even you do it. You going to dispute his 75% absence rate or the fact that if he was white he would never have even gotten elected to state level?

chas you can hate him for whatever reason you choose. And being an absentee State Senator isn't an invalid criticism.

Just be factual in said critique.

Let me get this straight so your opinin is clear on this: you are saying it was a benefit to be an african american in running for president of the united states? I think I have finally heard it all.
