While it might not be good for me, but the fact these guys are hacking US Government Websites and are now threatening to reveal some real bad shit....well Hollywood couldnt think of a better script id these guys are real.

“The contents are various and we won’t ruin the speculation by revealing them. Suffice it to say, everyone has secrets, and some things are not meant to be public. At a regular interval commencing today, we will choose one media outlet and supply them with heavily redacted partial contents of the file. Any media outlets wishing to be eligible for this program must include within their reporting a means of secure communications.”

That's cool as hell.

It's getting harder and harder for the govt. to stash the bad, bad, bad stuff.

Unless this is a misinformation/disinformation campaign by the govt. itself.

Yep, lay it all out.

These fascist fuckers never counted on the internet to provide counter-surveillance for the general public.

If anything comes of this I bet you will here more rumblings about an "Internet Kill Switch" and other draconian control methods, probably hidden in copyright bills and such.

On a somewhat related note, free Bradley Manning!

Stealing private secrets that may get in the hands of our enemies is being applauded? Why? If Anonymous is doing it what makes you think China isn't? Of course all of this could be the government laying the groundwork for some new policy that's suppose to protect us from a cyber war.

Why do you have me on ignore?

I can totally see that happening though. Like I stated above, this may be a part of the plan or a variable that appeared and the Govt. will use it as a reason to quicken the move to any manner of privacy invasion/internet censorship/degradation of the 1st Amendment.

I truly believe that everything is on the table.

This is great but anonymous has done some pretty terrible things
.
Believe they "exposed a fraud" 13 year old girl and her dads personal info because she was messing with some bros on fourchan

Hopefully they stick to better stuff like this.

Whether China is doing it is irrelevant to Anonymous doing it. I don't think China is seeing anon hack the US government and just now seeing it as a possibility. They would have been doing it/not doing it of their own volition.

I dont like my government doing shady, immoral shit and then covering it up. That's why I'm a fan of Anonymous. I understand if you feel differently.

Nomination accepted.

Sounds a little like "Hanged Man's Song" by John Sandford.

Anonymous is a cover up for massive ID theft and stealing of bank accounts. That's what they really do.

Anonymous isn't really anything. It's just a group people can say they are a part of. If I wanted to claim I was part of anonymous I could. That's why they do a few good things and many more bad things.

We really shouldn't celebrate hackers. They cause many more problems for people like me than they help with.

You are the braindead one if you don't believe Assange has that as his goal.

And when I see people love Bradley Manning they must love seeing american soldiers die. That's why he released that information.

Julian Assange dances when he hears an american died.

Nobody who defends Wikileaks or Anonymous can say anything about people that defend Jerry Sandusky.

Criminals will have their defenders anywhere.

Like anyone with an IQ above 3 I don't defend either.

If Anonymous had any guts they'd use their real names. BY being anonymous they ADMIT they are doing wrong.

At least the rapist Assange uses his name.

And yes I know the morons believe wikileaks redacts information.

Only good thing about people who consider Anonymous and Assange heroes is you know not to let any children around them since they love criminals.
