Fucking instigator rule. So Brandon Bollig can stop a game to be a dumbass, but Jamal Mayers can't retaliate for a dirty hit. That makes sense.

And Brookbank is awful and should be waived for Dylan Olsen, who at least has upside.

Yea, stupid penalty. Wasn't even that much of a hit on Kruger and was clean anyways.

Big break for the Hawks on the no goal. Don't quite get that one.

This is a rough watch. I get that the Hawks are playing against an awful team in front of a lifeless crowd while their arch-nemesis waits to play them tomorrow in Chicago but c'mon. If it weren't for a lucky break, this would be tied. They should bury these guys.

I want to recreationally abuse the Blue Jackets' stupid pills.

Don't see many 4 on 3 power plays. The Hawks had some good chances but Mason made a couple nice saves.

Regarding that Chevy commercial w/ Toews & Kane ... which version of the question is more puzzling?

v1: Why wouldn't the team captain be driving?

v2: Why would you let Kane drive?

Fuck ... damn home goal

That game blew. Hawks really had to steal it.

Took one of the worst calls I've seen in years in order to beat the Jackets. Meh, I'll take it. Hawks were looking towards Detroit. 5-0-0.

Never road tripped to the arena specifically but have been to Ohio State a bunch of times. There's a nice little arena district with bars/restaruants built around.

Im so glad the NHL has seen fit to try and manufacture a rivalry so the Hawks can play Columbus 27 times a year and not see Les Habitants, Boston , NYR or Toronto at all this year. I can see why they do it though, those Blackhawks / Columbus tilts are soooo thrilling and great games all the time.

Sloppy game, just glad we got the 2 points. I think the level of play is going to really start to decline due to the number of games in the short time span. Tonight might be a precursor to what lies ahead.

Let's hope they flip Columbus into the Eastern conference for Winnipeg. Then replace Columbus' spot in the division with Minnesota. The Central will lose the easy points but Minny/Chicago/St. Louis/Detroit will be great hockey for years to come. Makes so much sense it won't happen.

Or just flip Columbus and Winnipeg, don't bring in Minnesota, and keep taking easy points. Of course by the time the NHL gets off its ass and removes Winnipeg from the SEC, the Jets will have stockpiled draft picks and become a machine.

Yeah, the Hawks need to rest. Six games in eight days is rough stuff.

What is even worse is the Ice show trip is hitting when it does. I see some minor injuries piling up. They need to construct a teleport unit to Rockford.

The league does need to do some minor realigning.Plus, all teams need to face each other at least twice a year.

It's hard to align this league well. The 8-8-7-7 plan that came up last year had some support, but the Florida teams didn't like being placed with the Canadian/upper east teams instead of the mid-Atlantic teams, Detroit didn't like still having to be with the Midwest even though IT IS, and the union didn't like that it was mathematically easier to make the playoffs in the east (4 out of 7) than it was in the west (4 out of 8). Also, you cannot under any circumstances break up New York, Long Island, New Jersey, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh. Snider and Dolan won't allow it.

Agree, just wish we saw every original team at home each year.
We also have the most back-to-backs in the league yet again this year.
