@MitchRosen670 oh good... he's a full-timer

Mitch Rosen
@MattAbbatacola yes not "part time".

Like I said, good old drinky will never forgive or forget. He's not that type. He's a grudge holder like his radio pappy, Terry Boers. But the sad thing for him is that every time he brings it up, he's actually reminding people that Spiegel got him good. So Spiegel continues to win. It's a weird position for drinky. He wants to let people know that Spiegel is an asshole, but in doing so, he has to remind people of how Spiegel insulted and humiliated him.

This twitter exchange is an example. Even the boss, who is responsible for not promoting drinky, is laughing at drinky. With his comment, Mitch is saying that Spiegel gave a good zinger. Oy. You can't really win, drink. This sucks for you.

Why should he forget? That was way over the line. Fuck the apology fatty

And I think Mitch is poking fun at FatPants saying it

1. I agree. Drink shouldn't forgive or forget. Spiegs meant what he said. He thinks drinky is a no-talent hack that's too cocky for his own good. The apology wasn't sincere.

2. Mitch, as a boss, shouldn't be joking about his employees fighting. It's just not what a boss of a big time radio station should do. But this goes back to Mitch being a weak, scared boss. He should address this with drink and Spiegs in his office. Maybe even suspend Spiegel. But he doesn't like confrontation. That's why shit like this is allowed to happen at the Score.

drinky should forgive and use it as incentive. He should use a guy like Jesse as an example. Jesse was a blissful ignoramus for a decade as a producer. He was good at his job. However, he somehow attached himself to a north shore lawyer who decided he was a fixer upper. She wanted to be able to tell her friends that she married a low paid entertainer rather than a low paid producer. While it is painful to hear the poorly formed thoughts of Jesse, he now has that regular on air gig. He got this not because of any particular talent but simply becuase he wanted something and pushed for it.

As a Christian, drinky should forgive. But he can't. As far as becoming another Jesse, I think drinky now just wants to be a full time update guy at the Score. Mitch has actually been pretty good to him. He's allowed him to fail at talk show hosting and reporting. Now he lets drinky do updates. Mitch is trying to give drink a chance to find some niche in broadcasting. Drinky wants to become the next George Offman. Update guys don't make the big bucks. But I'm sure it's a little better than producer money.

I don't think he failed at hosting. He's not any worse than any of the other scrubs. Goff and Drinky lost their permanent part-time status around the same time Mac had that meltdown about them making fun of him. There's more to the story that we don't know, although I'm sure Beardown will make something up.

Easier said than done.

The guy basically called him a lesser employee on a day when his family happened to be there.

Use whatever motivation you want, but I would just put Spiegel in the "he's an asshole, fuck him" camp

I would guess that Offman was pulling in close to six figures after all those years and he blew it by listening to the pipe dreams of a former Vegas construction worker. He'll never make the same money in radio again.

Agreed with him not being a failure at hosting. I enjoy him more than any other fill-in. He also knows how to energize Boers for a whole show. Matty & TB shows are appointment radio!

I believe Seacrest reported here that Offman was making about $80,000 annually before he was let go by the Score in a cost-cutting move.

There is certainly something to this. Goff and drinky operated with impunity before Mac came back to the Score. They were running wild at that station - bad mouthing co working and pissing on the listeners. Mac and Spiegs came in, called them out on stuff and pretty much decided they weren't gonna take shit from B&B's producers. Next thing you know Ben Finfer is the number one sub at the station.

These are the facts. They can't be disputed

He originally left to chase the Webio bucks, no?

but, isn't it just a matter of pointing out the obvious. A host with a regular daytime shift is certainly a superior to a producer, although not his boss. Every office has the fun guy insubordinate employee who gets away with murder but occasionally has to be put into place.

I saw a National Geographic one time that detailed how when a younger gorilla acts up above his station, the dominant silverback will give him a buggering to restore social order. No hard feelings are held afterward. drinky just got his. While it was indelicate, it isn't that big of a deal.

But Drinky's not used to getting it, so to speak. That's why it stunned him. That's why it's a big deal to him. Plus he doesn't want to be treated like a kid intern from somebody like Spiegel who is the same age as him. Drinky and Goff both resented Spiegel from the moment he came back to the Score. Sure, Drink needs to be put in his place. Probably by Mitch and Zim more than anybody else. Neither of them do it, so Mac and Spiegs have decided to be the heavy with him. But Spiegel was mean and out to humiliate drinky in this case. For all the shit drinky does, this episode wasn't the time to put him in his place.

I told you drink isn't gonna let this go. He mentioned being a "part-timer" like 5 or 6 times in his commercial read just now.

Alright drink, everybody had your back on this one. Now you're just being a ass hat and you are no longer a sympathetic figure.

I'm sure the sponsor loves you changing their copy so you can pout and cry about what Spiegel did to you. :roll: It's things like this that prevent you from becoming a "Full Timer".

I'm all for the drink plotting revenge. Go ahead. Do it, Drinky. But pouting and crying about it is annoying. That's all you're gonna do? Just refer to yourself as a "Part-timer" constantly? You lose doing that. You just remind people of Spiegel's insult and that you're still Bernstein's bitch full time. How is that good for you? How is that a win?

Right. This man insulted you and your livelihood right in front of your wife and infant child. It must not stand. Crying is not the answer. You have to assault him physically in order to maintain any semblance of manhood you have left after the denigration he heaped upon you on air.

:lol:

I'm just saying that drinky is actually making it worse for himself doing what he's doing. Whatever the hell he's doing. Crying and pouting doesn't help. It just makes it more embarrasing for him and that's what Spiegel wants.

You would think he would know how to get even working with B&B all these years. Those guys know how to get revenge. Drinky is just making an ass of himself as usual.

Seen this a couple times but I do not get it. I am not over the top for Spiegs but he negotiated his deal. A full timer can do that. :lol: If he has extra sick or vacation days he uses after his so called concerts thats his negotiated right. I have no recollection, however, of him being late or somehow unprofessional like what happened the other morning due to weather.

Drinky needs to seek the counsel of his mentor and his radio Dad on how to get even with Spieglel. Terry Boers will fight for drinky's honor. More importantly, Terry will teach drinky how to fight for his own honor. Much like Mr. Miyagi did with Danielson.

In that case, drinky will be using the patented B&b Bashing System and waiting until Speigel is gone to call him a walking rectum or a human piece of crap.

What was Drinky referring to when he said Speigel took a shot at his wedding/Dublin?
