I just finished season one and I love this show. I've been told for awhile about how awesome it is... I tried to avoid threads like this so as not to spoil season 2 or 3. Great stuff.

Then you're going to love seasons 2 and 3 which, IMO, were far, far better.

If you can find it on Netflix or DVD somewhere, I HIGHLY recommend a show called Boomtown. It only ran for 1 season, but Graham Yost, who's behind Justified, was also involved in this show, as was McDonough, Jason Gedrick, and Mykelti Williamson. Great show.

Even though his freaked-out reactions to the unraveling of Quarles last season were great to watch, it's nice to see Winn Duffy calling some shots again.

Great scene. I think the season is off to a solid start.

I agree, that was a great scene. It's hard to say where this season is going. The itinerant preacher hasn't interested me much so far, and the mystery of the pouch in the wall needs to move along more rapidly.

I think they're doing a slow-smoke on some of that. I'm comfortable that that is leading to something.

I'm enjoying the parallel tracks they are putting the Raylan/Boyd storylines on. They're both hiding money, taking drink deliveries, the fight scenes, etc. - there are a number of scenes that show each one in similar circumstances, cut right after each other, while still keeping the storylines separate. I think an interesting technique to link them before they actually coincide.

Watched Season 1 and half of season 2 over the weekend and have been enjoying the show. I plan on finishing
season 2 this week and knocking out season 3 by next weekend unless something else comes up. I won't read
anything in the thread until then obviously.

The backyard brawler/husband character is one of those badass characters that makes this show really enjoyable.

Just got caught up on this season...this show is great...the possibilities are endless, you could introduce a new hillbilly at any time....raylan does not need to get big, he is a quick draw.

Nah, it looks like he is just going to bring a gun. Last night's episode showed why it is a shame that Walton Goggins never gets nominated for anything. His two main scenes of the episode (the one at the beginning and the one at the end) were great.

Looking forward to knocking out season 3 this weekend. I enjoyed season 1 more than 2 but
am interested to see how this continues to play out. Saw Timothy Olyphant on Conan recently
and he mentioned a plot twist I hadn't been privy to but I don't see it ruining anything as it was
revealed at the end of season 2.

The current season has been a bit of a letdown for me so far. The snake-charming itinerant preacher strikes me as a bit hackneyed, and the plot is a little scattered so far.

I have to agree with you on this so far this season. Just been kinda meh... maybe I am expecting too much

I think it is because they do not have a main villain this season (missing a Mags or Quarles type).

That's the main issue I have with it.

Season 1 was The Crowders.
Season 2 was The Bennetts.
Season 3 was Quarles.

This season is just not up to par with those. Hopefully that changes later.

Getting slightly more interesting especially finding the foot at the end of the last episode but this season
still doesn't have as much punch as the earlier ones.

I agree to a point. But, I feel like this season has much more potential for a satisfying ending. Last season had some great moments and scenes. But, ultimately, none of the main characters dealt with any consequences except maybe Arlo.

This year, though, the story is being driven by the main characters on parallel tracks, Raylan and Boyd. Now, with the 2 storylines finally crossing in this last episode, the resolution to this mystery should have serious impact on main characters based on how this has been setup. And with the increased roles of Rachel and Tim, I expect we are going to see a pretty good finish to this season.

I loved this week's episode. A whole lot going on and I think they were setting up the rest of the season.

Still haven't seen this past week's episode. While it has been a great season so far, there needs to be more Dickie Bennett and Dewie Crowe.

It should be about Dickie Bennett and Wynn Duffy, two awesome characters who aren't utilized enough. They have an abundance of characters, time to further develop a few of them.

Duffy is as good as either of them, at least as scary as them as well.

True. Hopefully that is what they are setting up for the rest of the season.

The tension continues to build. I am expecting a good episode next week. I enjoyed the banter between
Raylan and the police chief in this episode. Also was funny when Raylan was messing with the deputies
in the beginning of the show.

I have high hopes for the 2nd half of this season. There is a lot of stuff in play here.

It was good to see Tim get some more scenes to develop his character. I think Colton and Tim are setting up for some kind of confrontation that should be interesting because I feel like Tim sees a lot of himself in Colton. So, I don't think it will just be some 2 minute gun standoff.

Yeah, Colton definitely appears to be spinning out of control with his drug addiction. I have always liked the Tim
character and found him underutilitzed so quite happy he is getting a chance to shine. I would like to see Tim
chase Colton into the woods and have to track and pick him off with a great shot.

Yeah, but that is what Tim is good at. I think they are going to put him out of his comfort zone.

I think it's going to come down more to having the two of them in a room and Tim being conflicted with having to deal with a guy that is out of control but that Tim also might feel, maybe not sorry for, but sympathetic to because he can relate to the guy. I think that could be a great scene.
