Dan once again going to the "why do these crazy people on Twitter say..." routine with Jimmy Butler. Are reasonable people overexcited for Butler, or are they simply excited that he's provided a spark and looks like a solid pro? Dan even ends it by saying people on Twitter are crazy. So why keep trolling?

Ray Lewis wasn't that great. It's a whole lot easier making tackles when either Tony Siragusa, Sam Adams, or Haloti Ngata are tying up three linemen at a time, and every scorekeeper credits you with a tackle if your pinky finger happens to touch the pile, and you're hopped up on Bambi's antlers. Let's not suck Ray-Ray's dick too hard. There are other human beings on the Ravens defense, you know. That asshole isn't doing it all by himself. Oh, but I'm sure he lent them his God Powerups.

Did Dan read THE FUCKING SERIOUS ALL CAPS STATEMENTS as they were intended, or did he give it the standard, hard-to-put-my-finger-on-it-but-seems-sligtly-giddy-but-also-overly-enuciated, Bernstein reading to the piece?

I thought Finfer tried to nip all the Jimmy Butler excitement in the bud when he sat in for the final hour once Mac & Spiegs bolted for New Orleans yesterday. Is it coincidence that Butler was bypassed for the Rising Stars Game at NBA All-Star Weekend next month in Houston?

"NFL on FOX" & NFL Network analyst Brian Billick is supposed to join the guys right now, but he's on NFLN duty. Will he be on after the break?

They'll get sloppy seconds after he's used and abused by his "masters", as Bernsie called them.

Why is it bad that people are excited about Jimmy Butler? With Rose out and such why shouldn't fans be excited about their favorite teams top draft pick and him showing some flashes of true talent?

Why does the main focus seem to always be the need to douse fans with cold water? Besides, in the papers, on the radio and TV I'm not seeing some crazy/lunatic outcry that this guy is the next Jordan or something. Guess what, Jimmy Butler is getting real minutes and a quasi-starting role and he is doing well and running with the opportunity he has. He can score/reb and play D...he is also 6' 8" and a solid athlete.

The moment he has a really bad game or whatever I'm sure Finfer/BernSTINE etc. will be all over him and mocking the fans for thinking he was a Hall of Fame player and the savior of the Bulls even though no one has ever said that.

No. Jimmy Butler was on the roster before someone found out that Ben Finfer wasn't impressed with him.

Tuned in a little after 5:30 and heard the tail end of Hub's segment. Did he mention that this is his (insert number here) Super Bowl? IIRC he loves to do that.

This has been a tough listen. B&B are on that hater shit the last 2 days, and it makes the show tough to listen. My question is why aren't they at the SB? They're the stations best show and they don't show up to the biggest event of the year.

Wishful thinking: Mitch realized that it's kind of a waste of money to send two sanctimonious pricks to New Orleans to do shows about how Ray Lewis is a stud-jerk, Lance Armstrong is a penis, and Jimmy Butler isn't as good as literally every person in Chicago thinks he is just check out Twitter

Reality: Mitch offered the trip to Dan and Terry, they told him to fuck off, Mitch said "thank you sir, may I have another?" and slunk off to give it to the midday show

From now on I'm just going to assume Dan is upset most of the time because he knows he is the Karl Malone of blowhard trolls to Colin Cowherd's Jordan.

They stated that they have no interest in going. I don't blame them.

If you are looking for something that isn't unlistenable from B&B, I think you are looking in the wrong place. Perhaps The Mac and Meat Show would be more to your liking

Great point.

Great radio is always available from 9-1pm, weekdays on THE SCORE.

9-1 would be better with no Porky, Jay, and Finfer. Probably have to lose the hockey talk also

because THAT would conflict with how he's a scary stud with a powerful brand who is easily the greatest linebacker of all time ahead of numerous Chicago Bears.

Would a scorekeeper really do something like that?

I thought that Mike Nort sounding guy with the black wife was a bit. Didn't he used to call-in as "Plow Guy" or other such nonsense?
