I think the "Board Issues" run far, far deeper than that.

Indeed, putting the kibosh on auto login does help address some of the spamming problems that shut the board down; this measure has been implemented previously.

I think you misunderstand; I was backing your decision. I meant onyl to convey that I understand the frustration, but that this was an option used successfully before and it's being used again now.

This makes it difficult to post from a phone, but that is a trade most of us will gladly make for a better performing board.

I don't understand why this site is being attacked as it is. Any explanations as to why a group (singular or hundreds) would be doing whatever it is they do would be appreciated.

Fact is that spam continues to attack these PHPBB's all over the place. The guys at PHPBB constantly try to fix it, make suggestions for changes, etc. so it is a constant issue with all message boards of PHPBB creation.

Yeah the 20 extra seconds it takes to log in is such a monumental pain in the ass. I try my best not to bitch too much about a great site that is free. If it eliminates "This board is disabled" 33 fucking times a day, then I'm all for it.

First off, can you provider disable non-US IP addresses? I mean, who the hell wants to talk Chicago sports from Finland or Turkey or wherever. And maybe Detroit.

Another issue is your registration process uses a BS captcha. I would upgrade it.
