I learned a similar lesson when I was 17 years old. I went skiing with a girl that I liked and was trying to
impress. Was too "cool" to wear a stocking cap in the middle of winter on a very cold day. I didn't get
frostbite but I swear my ears get cold much faster than they did previous to that day and they physically
hurt for a number of days after the incident. Let this guy learn the hard way if he prefers. No skin off
your ears.

yes! I almost never wear a coat down here in Mizzourah. I detest coats. I wear a sweatshirt or something with long sleeves during the winter. Now obviously if I am going to be outside a lot then I put a coat on. But I hear from people all the time how crazy I am and how I am going to catch a cold. Don't worry about me, worry about yourself. You don't catch a cold because you walked from the car to the building without a coat, moron.

I get a kick out of people who dress for the cold, just because it's winter.

It was 52 degrees last Monday night and a mom came to my son's basketball game dressed for the winter. I turned to her and said, "Nice parka", as I sat there with a t-shirt on. She mumbled something and took it off.

Often times I wear a sweater and hoodie combo which is just as warm as most winter jackets and less constricting.

I hear "That's all you wore!!!???" quite a bit

Funny. I don't care about coats. Don't wear a coat for all I care. But WEAR A FUCKING HAT. That's where most of your body heat is lost.

I get that all the time.

I have this black, zip-up sweatshirt that also has this awesome fleece lining. It's honestly the warmest coat I have ever owned. And I always get the "How can you only be wearing that today?!?" Meanwhile, I'm very toasty, and the person who is puzzled by my wardrobe choice looks like he will be running the Iditarod later.
