Aren't the "Bears" the "NFL"? I just don't see the NFL making an issue of standardized fields, and what would be those standards for natural and artificial surfaces? How does technology factor in, and what of the stadiums that have baseball played on them as well?

Even though FedEx field has a heating system for the surface, the field conditions for their playoff game was as bad as anything I've seen at Soldier.
