The Ravens defense has struggled in the couple of games they've had against mobile QB's but one game (against the Eagles) they had to deal with replacement officials and the last one (against the Redskins) they didn't have Ray Lewis. Ray Lewis had no problem winning a chess match against 2 of the top 10 best QB's of all time so winning one against Kaepernick won't be a problem. The fact that this older defense will get extra rest and time to dissect the 49ers will make them that much better.

Flacco is really working hard to get that big deal. He'll continue his stretch of excellent games in the playoffs. The 49ers struggled with big physical receivers last week but the Falcons didn't have the running game to keep them off balance. That won't be the case against the Ravens. Rice and Pierce will provide the 1-2 punch that will keep the 49ers on their heals all day and open up passing lanes for Flacco to carve up the secondary.

This game won't be close. I'm taking the Ravens and the line.

Ravens win 31-17

I've been perfect against the spread in the playoffs and it's time to put the cherry on top. Besides God loves Ray Lewis. I know because next to Jesus on the cross was crooks and killers.

Your foolish wagering propositions continue

If you are confidant in your pick of the Ravens straight, why would you take The Ravens AND The line? of -110

Why not bet the +180 of the Ravens almost double your money?

In my upset threads I've had to choose the spread or the line (for the purpose of this thread only). My upset picks have been solid all season. Well over 50% picking upsets.

Did anyone else click on this expecting it to be a prediction of a 49ers win?

I'm leaning in this direction as well

I think the Ravens very well may win the game, but no way in the world will it be 31-17. If the Ravens win it will be more like a 24-21 score.

I hope that you are right, NAStrodamus. I have Balt 1, SF 7 in a squares pool that pays heavily on final score. This score would also cash my Balt/under teaser

49ers win by at least 8 points, probably 10-14.

Super Bowl is about story line, old guard Ravens vs new look NFL 49ers.

Super Bowl XL, Steelers vs Seahawks, Bettis retiring, storied franchise, etc. Steelers were handed the game by the refs.

Ray Lewis retiring, a tradional drop back QB vs the future of the NFL in Kaepernick and the 49ers?

Could Kaepernick's performance bring a younger, more diverse fan to the NFL.

Do the 49ers need to win for that to happen.

If the NFL is leaning toward the 49ers, look for borderline hits to be called against the Ravens and the refs
to sustain 49er drives.

I would guess Goodell and the NFL want the 49ers here.

 Give me a break. The Steelers were not handed that game. They won the game because the Seahawks were bad and really had no business even in the Superbowl.

I agree with this. I think Baltimore gets exposed tonight.

It's going to take a big game by Flacco for the Ravens to have a shot.

oh my you got some stats.

Ok let's take those. So you are saying that Pittsburgh who was only one spot below Seattle in those rankings had to have the game handed to them in order to win? They were not good enough on their own?

You remain an idiot.
