Hmm...

Hey honey, I know we were talking about just having it be the two of us for the Super Bowl, but there is this guy I want to invite over. You don't know him...and now that I think about it, I don't know him either...

So yeah, it's a maybe.

Don't have plans at this time for the game, so I am thinking a slab of ribs will be the choice of the day.

Horrible...and yet, I probably still could have gotten some after that movie. But, it just felt wrong - like I hadn't earned it with that movie choice.

Did you pay for the movie? The food? (as if those ultimately matter)

Did you have to put your lines out there? And yet "it just felt wrong - like you hadn't earned it"?!?

I'm embarrassed for you...even now.

Smoked pork shoulder

The wife is trying a recipe for pork shoulder cooked in root beer in the crock pot (then shredded and served with BBQ sauce). Got great reviews so we'll see. Also making buffalo wing dip which is always fantastic.

Made some chili last night. Got shrimp, chips, and pizza for the game. Lots of drink and smoke too. It'll be a good day.

Buffalo Joes was an elbow to elbow festival of nations. When I finally got to the counter I wasn't suprised to find they lost my small order from Friday. No wings for me. They almost had a riot on their hands when they announced that no non pre orders would be taken. I had my phone out ready for worldstarhiphop submission.

I had lunch at the Buffalo Joe's in Evanston for the first time in quite awhile last week. I first started going there as a youth in the late 80s, and nothing has seemingly changed about the place in the intervening decades. While the burger wasn't quite as good as I remember, it was still pretty satisfying. I'll be back for some wings in the near future--those have always been the standout item on the menu.
