Because it overly romanticized farmers and the agriculture industry.


They arent all hard working, earnest, salt of the earth people

Many are openly racist calculating businessmen.


Oh and 50% of workers on farms are hispanic, but you wouldnt know from that ad


I find lawyers more trusthworthy and earnest than farmers in my personal experience

What id the ad was "God made a lawyer"?

Its just silly to deify a profession like that

Ya know I was a little harsh on the farmer ad. I had a few select assholes in mind when I heard it. Im sure the farmer of yesteryear and many of today's farmers are fine people.

The problem I had with the spot was that you found out at the end the ad was promoting Dodge pickup trucks. Now if most farmers used Dodge trucks, I could see a link, but I'm sure they don't.

Yeah, but I dont believe most endorsers use the products they pimp anyway.
