Or he could not post it at all, because anyone that cares is already listening, but that's not gonna happen either.

I'll do better...

In fairness, it's not like Northwestern has a "crazy rah rah college is awesome because it makes men and we love our players and graduate our players" coach for football.

This picture is historical in that it captures the rumored but never before seen african american at a northwestern sporting event.

To be fair, a 7:30 puck drop is pretty annoying against Central/Eastern time teams. It makes the Red Wings really whiny, too.

I agree that signing day is way over the top now, especially with how certain media members/companies have turned it into a money making operation, but it seems pretty funny to complain about it and then put a sponsor on to spread the Northwestern propaganda.

I haven't seen this new angle that the Bulls believe NYK or Nets are a bigger rivalry than the Pacers. Anyone seen this stated? I find it hard to believe that is possible. The last 24 months between these two teams have been very competitive and quite chippy. The Vogel era has brung the best out of both teams. It is and will remain a rivalry for the foreseeable future.

They've owned the Celts recently, and that's not a division game. These final two Pacers games are gonna mean something, and possibly the Bucks games. The Bulls have an ok conference record, so for the most part the rest of the games are just wins and losses. Oh, and I guess if you need a "statement" game, maybe you clock the Nets, Knicks and Heat. Ohhh but the Heat aren't trying anyhow so that doesn't matter. I have no idea why B&B would think differently unless they purposefully being obtuse for some reason.

Yep. I started cracking up when I heard they will have Fitzgerald on to discuss "college football." Didn't realize hypocrisy could ooze out of my car speakers. Believe you me, it did.

Does Dan know that Car Talk wasn't a live show? You'd leave a voicemail, and they'd call you back later in the week if they wanted to use you for a segment. Weekend Edition does the same thing for the Will Shortz puzzle; more public radio is taped than not because of how modular and regimented the clock is. It's therefore plausible and likely that they were able to do some prep work before getting the caller back on the line so that they wouldn't completely embarrass themselves. While I don't doubt that the Magliozzis are Really Smart People who can diagnose car trouble well, they're not magicians -- much like another notable Bostonian Italian.

he was comparing it to his show where they have their friends call in to make it seem like people are listening.

We've gone from caricature to unintentional self-parody to some sort of master class in meta-trolling. It seems almost wasteful to get upset about it anymore. You just sit back in awe of the sheer audacious mendacity of it all.

National Signing Day is really creepy and dumb, for whatever it's worth, and I'm not really a fan of the NFL draft for that matter, either.

Somewhere in the archives I have the National Signing Day show they did four years ago, which I saved for being particularly funny to me.

SHARK gets commission on each Score sponsorship he uses in a post. Sure, it's not much for each one, but if he's getting paid per impression, those pennies become pounds in a hurry.
