He was a red-ass competitor. He liked his expletives, including yelling at guys who made errors behind him, as well as opposing batsmen. Maybe his intensity enabled him to come back multiple times... and everyone loves a comeback narrative. 29 was good for a breakdown every couple years... so there was plenty of that.

but when he was right, he was fun to watch as he didn't really have a dominating pitch, but didn't throw a single pitch straight.
