The difference between is us that when danny talks about "Really Smart People", I get the distinct feeling he counts himself among them. This board has made me realize I can get into trouble by talking about stuff I don't really know about. That's the problem dilettantes have. My answer is to cut down on talking about shit I don't know a whole lot about. danny's answer is to read more Web MD.

That really doesn't mean I'm not capable of learning all the things that would help me to survive. It just means that those abilities have atrophied. Take my baseball catching example from a few weeks ago. I used to be able to sit in a crouched position all day. Now I pray that the pitch is thrown within 10 seconds so I don't keel over.

This whole Bernstien isn't intelligent conversation is crazy. Intelligence includes the capacity learn and master. I have no doubt the guy had the capacity to go into medicine, law, business, etc. and be above average on the intelligence scale in any of those fields. He just happened to choose a field that doesn't stretch his abilities very much.

I agree with that. But the fact is he made the choices he did. And he sounds like a goof when he has conversations with doctors and lawyers and acts as if he is their equal. He certainly wouldn't brook a doctor or a lawyer talking radio with him as equals. He. would. shout. them. down. And then hang up.

When I hear danny "talking shop" with a doctor, it reminds me of a conversation Mike North had with Isiah Thomas where North was acting as if they were both ballers. Thomas eventually had enough and called him out.

Drink was suppose to host with Spiegel today. Drink claimed he threw his back out shoveling snow and couldn't do the show. Spiegel went on twitter and told the world that drinky couldn't host this morning cuz he was "wasted" from the charity poker night. Drinky eventually got on twitter and was pissed. He called Spiegel a "dick" for tweeting that. That's where we are at.

1. I'm guessing drinky being drunk is probably true.

2. It's still "dirty pool" for Spiegel to post that on twitter. Cuz missing a shift with a hangover goes to drink's reputation. He's trying to lose that image. So I can see why drinky is pissed.

3. Spiegel knows better and did it cuz he enjoys embarrassing drinky. Spiegel really does hate drinky and he knew what he was doing. He'll claim he was just joking but that's not true. It was meant to stick it to drinky.

Here you go. You can follow drinky on twitter. Drinky is pissed!!! His latest comment is that "he doesn't listen to Spiegel's show much" when somebody referenced something said on today's show. That was clearly a shot.

Here's the bottom line. Mitch has a mini crisis on his hands. He's gotta keep these two away from each other. No more phony attempts to have them pretend to "hug it out". They shouldn't do shows together. Cuz every time one says they're just kidding and they're cool with each other, seconds latter they're back taking mean-spirited jabs at each other. You can only say "I'm just kidding, we love each other" so much.

Spiegs: Drinky is a fine producer for B&B. I like and respect him very much...but the son of a bitch will never be a full timer.

Drinky: I like Spiegel very much. He's a friend of mine...despite the fact that he's a back stabbing fat ass.

This sort of thing is stupid and childish.

The relationship can't be repaired. Quite franky, both are fine with hating one an other. So why they feel the need to put on an act for the listeners is beyond me. Just make this another "Terry vs Murph" thing. That worked well for years.

Well, after Kerry Sayers returns to midday updates, I think drinky might get medieval on Spiegel's ass. His attacks have been mild and pretty much passive aggressive. A little bit of bitching about it, but no real attack because he knew he'd still have to work with Spiegel. Now he doesn't have to worry about that. So look for him to go hard and hide behind Bernstein and the B&B show.

Gonna be waiting a while for that one.

Just now Drinky was crying to B&B about Spiegel

Drinky said that he made a joke about the legless Olympic guy that murdered his wife on an update during "Mac and Spiegel". Drinky said that Spiegel followed it up with a joke. Drinky told Spiegel he was gonna come up with more jokes for his future updates. To which Spiegel said, "That's funny, make jokes about murder." Drinky said, "Hey fat ass, you just did a joke too." (I made that part up). But drinky was confused by Spiegel's attack on him after Spiegel did a murder joke and then frowned upon murder jokes.

The moral of this story is that Spiegel still hates drinky.

Right at the beginning of transition today. Drinky was crying about being a back up telling Rozner it must be nice to have regular hosting shifts at the Score. Then Rozner complimented him on drinky's funny updates. Drink said he's able to have fun with them since Spiegel and Mac aren't around. Meaning they don't like it when drinky turns the updates into a lounge act.

I always love reading your behind the scenes stuff. I heard Drinky's "sits on a pole" joke. I thought it was worth a chuckle. My theory is the SCORE regulars hate Drinky because the Hawk immortalized him in his play by play. It has to be frustrating to be at the SCORE so long and never getting a real chance when guys like Rozner & Rosenbloom are asked to move to the head of the class. A good writer does not always make a good host (Rick Telander) though I like both Seacrest & Rosy.

I've made it a habbit to listen to the "B&B vs. M&S" transition on the podcast. That's where the weirdest shit happens. That's where the fights, digs and insults happen. That's where these Score people behave like high school girls. People on this board never report these transition moments. I'll do it. What the hell?

For the record, I had this story in October. Long before the "Part-timer" episode. Read the thread. Some agreed. A few people thought I was nuts (Peoria Matt, in particular).
