I'm not normally the type of person to bag on someone for how they look but every picture I've seen of Dan looks a bit...off. I can't quite put my finger on it but I think it has something to do with proportionality, like his hands and head are too big for the rest of his body or something. However this particular picture makes his head appear tiny strangely enough. The end.

About 10 years ago, I urged WSCR-AM talk host Dan Bernstein to leave Chicago and become the next Bob Costas. He is that intelligent, that versatile, that fearless. Instead, he stayed in Chicago and became the first Dan Bernstein.
Which is fine, except for one recurring problem: The guy is so needlessly rude to callers, I'd rather hear a cacophony of police sirens blaring over jackhammers as Hawk Harrelson tried to blab above it all.
If not for this issue, Bernstein would be the best sports-talk show host in the city and maybe the country. Instead, he and his host are borderline unlistenable. And the thing is, when Bernstein is matched with someone other than regular partner Terry Boers, he isn't nearly as surly. Don't they realize insults and intimidation only make the callers more tentative, more nervous -- and less likely to call in or listen?
If you can't tolerate audience participation -- the very dynamic that drives sports-talk radio, I thought -- then don't take phone calls.
Disclosure: While I draw paychecks from ESPN, I work for the four-initialed behemoth as a daily panelist on a national TV program, not as a local radio competitor. Additional disclosure: When I did work for ESPN 1000 three years ago, I competed against Boers and Bernstein and, interestingly enough, won a decisive victory in the key demographic in our last ratings book.
Was it because even a guy like me, who is described as abrasive on his best day, knew not to treat callers like idiots?

He looks weird there because he's happy.

His happy look is creepy. When his expression is just chillin, he looks normal.

He's a normal looking guy in person. Nice guy too.

Jay "Smokin'" Marrioti layin' the wood to that repulsive and repugnant Dan BernSTINE. This little blurb hits all the right notes and presses all the important buttons concerning the BernSTINE Show.

Jay M. was a true visionary and a mighty oracle.

Here's the Monday Game Plan-Live from the TOYOTA Sports Corner at the Chicago Auto Show:

*3P: The SCORE's David Schuster-Spring Training Report from Cubs' Camp-Mesa, AZ
The Rest of the Position Players are Starting to File In

*3:30P: "The Second Half"

That's all they've got planned...as things stand at this stage.

"Scoreboard Updates": Connor McKnight (For Now)

Laurence Holmes is OFF The SCORE all this week, but is on assignment reporting on Spring Training in Arizona with the Cubs & White Sox respectively with NBC5. As previously advertised, Zach Zaidman is guest hosting the nighttime SCORE from 6-10P. Wayne Randazzo will be doing "Scoreboard Updates" on ZZ's show tonight, and will follow with the latenight SCORE @ 10P this eve. "SCORE Overnight" with Les Grobstein & Adam Harris, featuring "Bum of the Week", airs @ Midnight tonight.

He also enjoys smacking the occasional woman around, but who among us can deny the same?

It seems to me that GarPax do well. I may be bball ignorant though but how do so many teaks move so many players around and Bulls don't seem to be able to trade at all?

I think they're pretty damn good.

I just wonder whether they have the nuts to pull the trigger on a championship move.

They've made the Bulls a lot more competitive, but they've been unable to land the marquee free agent and haven't made the boldest of trades to make them a true NBA title contender again.

You gotta believe they have feelers in to Lebron's camp....if there is truth to his departure from Miami, not sure where it's thought he'll head off to but you best do all u can to feel him out...

One of my biggest beefs with B&B is when they take an opinion from one ass hat and project it among the entire listening population. Such as "them" saying the Bulls don't know how to draft. It was one fucktard.

So, if KSU played Illinois, it would be interesting to see which side of the game B&B come down on. Based on their criticisms of Weber, they would have to be Pro-Illinois.

But, I doubt they would be.

To answer their question, there are 3 teams with 5 wins vs. Top 25 teams -

Indiana
Kansas
Illinois

Enjoying the Joe Pa talk today and them making fun of the rubes at the Auto Show.

I'm really sorry about what some people are doing to your thread here, Keep. Following directions was never CSFMBs strong suit.

Just a few thoughts:

1. They made an excellent choice in Thibs
2. They have the best non-NBA player in the world under their control (Mirotic)
3. They have an unbelievable chip in the Charlotte Pick. Could be #1 overall.

And that doesn't even address all the other brilliant moves they've made.

I heard 2 and 3 from Harry T. three weeks ago.

We keep us the best we can I guess.
