The guys are back on the road this afternoon at the TOYOTA Sports Corner at the Auto Show broadcasting live from McCormick Place South. I'm sure this will be a prime topic of conversation between 1:15 & 6P this eve as Dan & Terry build a bridge to another DePaul loss at Notre Dame tonight in NCAA Basketball. Apparently, Bernstein has no problem with "Rose Missing This Year". He explains here:

Dan is late responding to a breaking news story that CJH was all over yesterday.

Listening to BOTH of Chicago's all sports stations yesterday, while the Derrick Rose comments dominated talk on ESPN Radio 1000 AM, it wasn't nearly as discussed on 670 The SCORE. I wonder why...

Here's the Wednesday Game Plan-Live from the Auto Show:

*3:30P: "The Second Half"

That's all they have planned...For now anyway.

"Scoreboard Updates": Chris "White Sox Baseball is Coming" Rongey

The guys are done at 6P this eve sharp. That's because DePaul & Notre Dame rematch at what's now called Purcell Pavilion in South Bend. Zach Zaidman & Jeff Blanzy will have the call at 6P on 670 The SCORE from courtside. Win or lose, the team of Joe Ostrowski & Connor McKnight will guest host the nighttime SCORE after the DePaul/Notre Dame game from around 8:15P-ish until Midnight from the SCORE Studios downtown. "SCORE Overnight" with Les Grobstein & Adam Harris follows at Midnight as always.

IDK? Does DR have a talk show like Cutler did? Either way Danny is a fucking windsock. After his Geno Smith shock yesterday he will announce after the draft that the Pistol/Veer/Option is the NFL future because someone tweeted it to him.

The guys are talking about why the local media haven't been able to get access to Derrick Rose prior to this USA Today interview that dominated talk on the OTHER station yesterday.

Poor innocent little Derrick just doesn't understand "the protocol." He should have Really Smart People explain it to him.

There's more butthurt here than a hemorrhoid convention. None of this crap really matters anymore. What does Derrick Rose owe KC Johnson? What's KC gonna do? Break bad on him?

I'm starting to wonder if adidas, not the Bulls, ultimately holds the key when Derrick Martell Rose does return. Needless to say, adidas has a lot more $$$$ invested in Rose than the Bulls. Also, isn't it curious that Rose has been quiet since that awful April Saturday afternoon? No interviews with ANY local outlet, including the ones that are the Bulls' broadcast partners.

By my math, CH, it's approaching the 10 month mark since Rose tore his ACL at the end of Game 1 of the NBA Playoffs vs. the 76ers at United Center. I was also under the impression that once the Bulls cleared Rose to resume his basketball career, Rose would be back on the floor. Until he gets clearance from the Bulls, it's a moot point.

Im giving it a shot today and holy shit is the awful. Terry sounds like a little whiny bitch and BerSTINE is walking the line between going for the "kill" and excusing everything Derrick does and has done. They have been crying for an hour. The Bulls beat reporters aren't actual reporters as much as they are PR agents....the Paxson vs Vinny fight and kC Johnson's burying of it proved that.

Hilarious that these cowards would break bad on people for breaking proper protocol. Gimmie a fucking break. #nellcarterknowsbest.

Watching an SNL special the other night, Lorne Michaels was talking about coming back to the show after consulting with some "really smart people"

Bernsy has a real problem with national outlets such as USA Today, instead of local guys like the Trib's K.C. Johnson & CSNChicago.com's Aggrey Sam, not being allowed to talk with Derrick Rose as he continues his long recovery from a torn ACL. Double standard?

Championing the Bulls beat would be better if the Bulls beat weren't so weak. I guess in the grand scheme of things, at least he's not saying "I think it's so great the way the Bulls do everything."

I'm glad order is restored by someone who takes pride in their threads, SHARK, getting back to the business of show threads. I love the synergy of this move bringing back CH in place of KS; high VORP here.

Also, go figure Dan would take the side of Sox mgmt with this 1yr extension for Ventura. Obviously they figured they'd extend him for a year when he's still a rookie/1yr manager (and likely pay him accordingly) and Robin decided that he'llbet on himself to try and get that year extended at the going rate for a successful manager. This could be a difference of $1mil/+ for that one year if he keeps up the good work.

Of course, Yiddish was dropped cuz you want that SVELT now as opposed to trying to get a better wage in the future. C'est la vie.

Anyways beat writing crusades continue. Having an article in print in millions of newspapers all over the country = as national as having KC Johnson tweet about an article on tribune.com

I'm getting real close to PTFB. Dan is screaming at callers, and Terry just keeps comparing the situation to Jordan ad fucking nauseaum. Shut up!!!!!

I think it's all politics to try and kiss local beat guy ass and procure them as official guests.

Caller trying to make a point gets doubly talked over and cut off only to be told "you have no point" by Terry and Dan saying there's no argument and then the caller is hung up on. KNOW YOUR PLACE, PEASANT. DON'T DISTURB THE NARRATIVE!

There's no comparison between Michael Jordan & Derrick Rose. Quite frankly, other than Bulls' head coach Tom Thibodeau constantly answering questions about #1 before games & seeing video of Rose in practice at the Berto Center & before games, the Bulls have been tight-lipped since Day 1 of Rose's long road back from this torn ACL.

If Rose does return this season, those doctors are the ones that'll decide if he does play. That's what Bulls' Owner/Chairman Jerry Reinsdorf said on the Bulls Radio Network flagship last summer and I don't think that has changed.

1. It's not a bad business move for Rose as Bernstien suggests. Him tell USA today instead of our dumb locals hurts him? How?

2. Wasn't KC Johnson the one that didn't report the Pax fighting with Vinny story? Well, if he sits on exclusive stories, I don't want to hear him crying that he doesn't have access. He loses that right.

3. Who cares what MJ did, Terry.

4. David Shuester can't say the word "Every". If you can't say that word, you shouldn't be allowed to be a basketball reporter. (This is just an aside.)

5. Nobody cares. Our locals get scooped a lot of times with all of our teams in this internet age. They gotta work harder. They don't want to do that. They're just mad that Rose won't do gang bang interviews. That's not exclusive anyway.

I also was scratching my head when I saw this on ESPN's "Around the Horn" last week. I saw something there, not locally, about Derrick Rose going to the Bulls' NBA D-League team in Des Moines before he does return. Huh?

Someone who works in the Chicago sports media is upset and says it is bad form for a Chicago athlete to give a story to someone outside the Chicago Sports Media? Shocker!

Franky, I think what has Bernstein all hot & bothered is that Derrick Rose has been off limits with the local media from the getgo of Derrick's long rehab from a torn ACL and that USA Today was the first & only outlet to talk with #1 since the start of the NBA season. A double standard?
