So here we go!!! Kerry Sayers is back. Drinky is officially thrown back to B&B. He is once again their exclusive property. Which means drinky now digs in his heals with Spiegel and Mac attacks. No more of this passive aggressive shit from him. He's gonna bring it now. He'll still hide behind Bernstein. He won't talk shit during transition. No. He'll wait for them to leave but on the B&B show he's gonna get mean!!!!

If Spiegel retaliates, I think Bernstein will enter the fray

Not for love or honor of Drinky, but just because he can and doesnt like Speigel

I got a $20 that says Spiegel makes a comment during transition about how good it is to have an update "professional" like Kerry back on board.

Subtle, but direct.

The only problem with that is Kerry will likely have just stumbled on a difficult word like "Home" or "Tonight"

The thought that the people who do a radio that once had a cookie draft are in a "war" with the people on another radio show who make about 100 jokes about pubic hair a day both amuses and depresses me.

Our President, Barack H. Obama, has trouble with 'H' words, for whatever reason.

Cows "moo" in different accents according to where they live.

Sayers sounded crisp and clear, for the most part. "Start the second half of the season off" "on a high note" was a bit of a strenuous locution, "start off the second half...on a high note" might've been easier on the ear.

I think the Obama 'H' thing might be a result of using a non-phonetic spellings on his #Teleprompter and seeing a syllable at a time.

I thought "Danica Patrick sitting on the pole" was a one-shot unintentional slip. If he was really doing that at the top and bottom of the hour all day, man, fuck that. I believe I once referred to the scoreboard update as "intentional unintentional comedy," and I didn't mean it favorably.

Didn't hear it. Somebody posted that he was saying it on every update. I have noticed that drinky likes to pause after one of his bad jokes. Almost like he's taking a bow, waiting for the hosts to compliment him or letting the audience take in what he thinks is a brilliant joke.

Drinky fucked up again. Mac made it clear to him that he doesn't like his update style. That he wanted drinky to do it the traditional, professional way. Not only did drinky not listen, he decides to bitch and cry about Mac and Spiegel trying to step on his fun time. Now he's made enemies. Mac and Spiegel hate him. Maybe take some advice from a long time pro, drinky. Doing radio your way hasn't been good for you. Maybe listen to the 25 year vet. Drop the attitude and the jack ass behavior. Try to go along to get along. You're the low man. Not Mac and Spiegs. Sometimes you have to swallow your pride. You're only hurting yourself with your attitude and ass hat behavior.

He said it every update I heard and I was in the car for 4 hours or so, along with the she hopes to better this year after crashing on the 2nd lap last year.

Matty is a radio hack. Beardown nailed it in his last post. Can't believe I just typed that...

Think about it.

-Drinky couldn't get along with Mike Murphy as his producer. B&B saved him.

-Drinky tried out on the Mike North Show. Couldn't get along with Pappy or his crew. According to Terry Boers, Fred Huebner fired drinky. Boers has said this on more than one occasion. Drink went crawling back to the B&B show

-Drink is an update guy on the Mac and Spiegel show. Can't get along with them. Back to B&B he goes.

-Drink had a brief stint as a Cubs reporter. It was bad. Back to being a B&B producer.

Maybe Drinky is the problem!!!! Cuz you can't say he hasn't gotten his chances.

Look, all of these guys I've mentioned are probably ass holes. But drinky has to realize he has to take shit sometimes. Not even take shit. Just keep your mouth shut, listen and try to get along with your superiors. That's all. Pretty simple. You can't always fight people who out rank you - not just in radio, but in any profession. You can't act like big shot...WHEN YOU'RE NOT A BIG SHOT. Then again, what the hell do I know?

Beardown,
This is the best advise you can give any youngster out there (Sorry,Steve Stone). I have lived by those words myself. It might explain why after massive layoffs and watching a number of my "superiors" get axed,I'm still standing. I'm sure it also has to do with the nature of my job and some of the high salaries of middle management, but great advice anyway.

It's common sense. Drinky should have learned this by now after his history of not being able to play nice with others. You'd think he would have made a conscious effort to make sure to get along with Mac and Spiegel.

Drinky has shown to be a malcontent. He's the Terrell Owens of the Score without the Terrell Owens talent!!!!

Hey @MattSpiegel670 - @LanceBriggs is looking for a part-time job... any suggestions? : )

At this point I sincerely hope they are both just trolling the board.

Big Fan knows something. He'll often drop hints here without saying. I understand. People at the Score tell him stuff in confidence.

We can guess.

This "Meat vs. Drink" thing is worse than what we actually understand. Yeah, we here drinky crying about it everyday - I'm pretty sure he's referred to himself as a "part-timer" every single day since it's happened. We heard drinky whine about Mac and Spiegs not letting him have fun with his updates. We get that drinky will never get over this. We get that Spiegel and Drinky hate each other and it can never be reconciled.

But maybe there is more to it. Maybe there was an actual confrontation at the station - perhaps verbal and/or physical. Maybe Mitch chewed one or both of them out. Maybe they both got punished in some sort of fashion. Maybe all of the above. Maybe something worse.

I'm not convinced that wasn't him disguising his voice and making the candyman call. That was a pretty impressive and well planned call. That guy was throwing shot after shot but in a calculated enough manner that they didn't dump him or get pissed until the end.

What time did this happen?

At or around the 18th minute of the start of the Mac and Candyman show.
