This is pretty much the greatest photo that has ever existed.

I love the guy in the upper left hand corner and how he is holding the giant dildo.

Anyways, the picture is gold even though it makes absolutely zero sense.

Just some visual evidence that the Score was fun back in those days. I also think the hosts genuinely liked each other AND the callers.

I'm sure some of them were self aware enough during this stage of their careers to realize that they were being paid to sit behind a mic and talk about sports....although, now that I think of it many of them probably weren't.

North had listeners over to his house. Think about that for a second. I think Mac is inclined to kind of lean in that direction even to this day but there is not a single other host who embraces the listeners like that anymore. I don't want to hear about the risks of it because there were just as many psychos walking around 20 years ago.

While it ultimately was frowned upon by the IRS the hosts all used to get together during their off hours for freebie dinners.

You could sense the camaradarie among the hosts and with the station and its listeners.

Did you ever have friends that had mothers that had rooms like that? Always filled with cream, beige or white furniture, white carpet and NO ONE was ever allowed in to do ANYTHING. They were like museum pieces that were roped off.

Yes. My best friend's mom had a room just like that. They were antique dealers. No one was ever in there. Well little Dally was an asshole who really didn't care much about rules. We were horsing around playing tag or some shit. I cut through the room that will not be entered, and knocked over and broke an expensive bust of W.C. Fields! That sounds oxymoronic but I guess this statue was worth some money. I think my buddy caught a beating for that.
