I know Mom's work. I see it all the time in person and on Facebook. I'm not knocking that. I just don't see the reason to post about such things as cleaning the windows, making lunch, and ordering new drapes-- sometimes in a bragadocious way-- several times a week.

Calling a woman braggadocious about seeking affirmation on Facebook for something she is not feeling appreciated for at home, is an odd response.

Women are on Facebook doing this stuff for a reason. I'm guessing,the women who feel loved and appreciated aren't usually the ones doing this. That can be a valuable lesson to someone that is getting married soon.

Who cares? It's not the world's job to give people credit for doing things they signed up to do. Yes, being a parent is hard. It's not any harder than what most adults do during the day.

The whole point is that people are overrating just how amazing they are when in reality they are doing something that a majority people do without pretending like they are doing 24 hour shifts in a mine shaft.

Opinions welcome: I was told to go to a cardiologist. I got two referrals but turned away twice because they were not general practitioner referrals. I finally got a GP referral and made an appointment for this Friday. I just got a phone call to switch my appointment to today. If you were a new patient that went through this and hasn't been in yet, would you feel that this is poor etiquette?

I really didn't know where else to put this. Obviously not a douchebag to the nurse but who the hell
does this? I used to be ultra careful with the snowblower and mower, going as far as taking out the

About 15 guys from my old unit are in Kandahar, Afghanistan right now, and apparently a few of them are enjoying an ice cold NA beer. I would definitely like to go back down to Ft Polk to share a real beer with them when they return later this summer.

There is NOTHING that pisses off a woman faster than taking a nap

You could work, in a quarry breaking rocks for 72 hours straight and if you snuck in a nap before dinner, you'd get that same type of comment.

Thing is, I know what this guy does. He works for a sign company. Occasionally, they will buy some stuff from us and I happen to know that they are doing a big project for a hospital in the far south burbs redoing a bunch of parking lot and sign lighting. Its not easy work, and its outside for 10+ hours a day....
