I thought the Old Testament didn't count as it's not the teachings of Christ.

That sounds like something Peter Marshall would have read to Paul Lynde back in the day.

"Paul is this quote from the Bible?"

" Ewww,nothing I ever read!"

Christ, who the hell said anything about Christ? Jehovah knows no testament.

Well, I have no idea why you think that, and since you're very rarely a dumbass, I'll hope it was because you inadvertently listened to someone who hails from Dumbfuckistan.

edit: I see you're crediting chas .... well, looks like I was borderline prophetic there.

On a side note, I have read it. It's chocked full of both wonderful and really, really fucked up stories.

Great reading for the kiddies at bedtime.

Romans 1:26, 1:27.

Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

Ezekiel 23:20

There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses.

There's also that good one where the kid fucks with the bald guy and G_d sends 42 bears to attack him. You young punks should remember that.

Just finished Exodus.

It's the story we all know, Moses leading the people out of Egypt, the plagues, the parting of the red sea, the ten commandments. Watch the movie to get the gist of it.

I had some problems with how vindictive the Lord seemed to be. As he was letting loose the plagues, the pharoah at first was blowing them off. Then as they got worse and worse he would keep offering to let Moses go and the Lord kept saying he was going to harden pharoah's heart and then he would change his mind and tell Moses he couldnt go. It was like God didnt want to stop messing with Egypt. Seemed sort of rude...

I also couldnt believe how many pages upon pages were dedicated to the specific instructions on how to build the Ark of the Covenant, the tabernacle, the meeting tent, the altar and the dress robes of the priests. It just was never ending.... Very hard reading the second half of this book. Once the Ten Commandments were read you can just skip ahead to the next one.

I have read the Bible - im not a super-religious guy but it is a good read in a lot of places. Hank you are about to hit a real dry spot though - you have to man up and fight through leviticus, deuteronomy and numbers. those are tough to crawl through. Samuel and Kings are great. Chronicles, not so much.

Yeah Leviticus started right where Exodus left off... Page after page of instructions on how to sacrifice animals. I wonder what Father Pat would say if I showed up Sunday with my first born male ram free of blemishes and proceeded to kill it and splash it's blood on the altar.

Of course their "blood shall be upon them." They're probably busting each other's hemorrhoids.

Leviticus.... God spent a heck of a lot of time describing how and what to sacrifice in this book. Throw the blood here, wash the kidneys there, tear the pigeon in half, burn the fat.... Wow just a lot of instructions again. Can skip this one if you are looking for actual spiritual reading. Unless you are down with sacrificing animals of course.

Last couple of chapters dealt with people with leprocy and who and what you can have sex with. Protip: dont have sex with any female related to you or married to one of your relations. Also dont have burrito sex or with animals.

I'm guessing that Father Pat would tell you that God already did that, so you didn't have to.
