Man's a boss. I'm a big fan.

@ZachZaidman Emery on Hester: "He'll go out there and compete to be our returner."

Emery on Hester playing offense: "What he does from beyond there will be how he performs in that first role as a returner."

Thank God. :skypoint:

Also spoke, along with Trestman, that Shea will be used in packages other than straight hand on the ground rusher.

Great! Should have had him at linebacker last year too! Just gotta get rid of #90 and that defense will be great!

This draft will determine whether I apply for membership to this club. I cant watch first round draft picks that suck anymore. Can't do it.

So....he's going to play LB or some other "hybrid" type rusher, which Lovie never used?

So far I'm a big fan of the way both Emery & Coach T have handled their business...& its a bonus to have 2 guys who can formulate a sentence, speak English & have a normal conversation with people.

Yeah. You're willing to write off McClellin as a bust already?

No. Not totally writing him off, but I think there were better players available that could have filled needs.

I usually say Best player available but when you have one unit stopping you from contending its tough to ignore.

Also, IIRC McClellin was a reach. Could have had him in RD 2 possibly.

I'm curious to see how he's used and opperates in the new defense. In the end, that's all that really matters. Won't matter if he was a reach or anything if he ends up having a solid career...

Well if the two offensive lineman who were taken later in the first round end up being real good and McClellin ends up decent, it was a bad pick in my book.

Ill say that getting Jeffrey in the 2nd rd was a real good pick

Yep. If he stays healthy.

It's best to get you Phil Emery related hopes up now so it can hurt even more by the middle of next season...

Lovie never had a problem speaking or formulating a gramatically correct sentence. I bet he doesn't capitalize common nouns like you and Elmhurst Steve either.

I'm assuming he's talking about Angelo (which still doesn't make any sense since he's been gone for a year now). Lovie Smith spoke no better or worse than any other NFL head coach. I'd hate to think Scorehead was implying anything else...

Lovie was arrogant at times. Scorehead seems to have parlayed that into "cant complete a sentence"

He was a dick when it came to the media. Not sure how anyone with half a brain couldn't tell the difference between that and not knowing how to speak. Just comes off......odd.

Lovie was one of the better speakers as a coach/manager Chicago has had in a long time. Certainly better than Jerry Manuel, Dusty Baker, Ozzie Guillen, Vinny Del Negro, Bill Cartwright, and whatever mustachioed canadian was coaching the Blackhawks at the time.

Talk about what he said all you want, but he always carried himself in a good manner while speaking.
