Next week does look really good. Having most of the episode revolve around Andrea was different.
Still don't know what she has rattling around her head. I really hope next week is good as this has

Not a good episode, not good at all. I have no fucking idea why they put Tyrese on that path.

The writers turned Andrea into a cluster fuck of a character. Dumb, naive, stupid, ignorant, retarded, dumb, silly...did I miss any? She goes to the prison and expects them to welcome her with open arms? She actually believes that Rick and Co. fired first and that they are blood thirsty? Did she not spend the last 2 years with them? Did she not see the wrecked gate and all the walkers in the prison yard? Dead Axl? Did she not see the zombie daughter? The heads in the fish tank? She never bothered to ask about why the head of the helicopter pilot was in there or what happened to the soldiers? Fuck, they have Merl their in the prison as a member of the group, he was the Gov. right hand man! I think he would know a thing or two about what goes on behind the scenes.

Just bad and she needs to die because I want her to die but also because her character is a net negative for the show.

Maybe they are positioning Tyrese this way to set up a better post-prison story than there was in the comics.

But it still pisses me off.

I actually thought last nights episode was significantly better than the previous two. It looks like they are finally starting to move on from the Tortured Rick angle, which was one of the worst subplots of the whole series and really didn't need to be addressed for more than one episode.


I agree they have been miswriting the Andrea character but I'm guessing the badass from the comics shows up in the next couple episodes. Unfortunately, it'll probably look too forced and hard to believe given how they've written her so far.

Andrea is too far gone, at least in my opinion. Maybe some good writing will fix her but I don't see any of that on the horizon.

The complete lack of self-awareness, intelligence and the ability so put 1+1 together to get 2 has spoiled her character.

Her trying to explain herself, convince the other characters to "sit down" with the Gov., not being able to understand why they don't trust her and actually thinking that Rick and Crew started this war showed her to be a total moron and brain dead. They have Merl sitting right there and she is shocked they don't buy what she is selling.

She sucks.

She's never been to the prison before, how would she know that the gate was recently wrecked or the zombies just got there??? That's a really stupid comment on your part. The heads in the fish tank? The Governor already explaine that he did that to desensitize himself to the violence and decisions he would have to make. Kind of a lame explanation, but an explanation nonetheless. Penny? He explained that last night and came off as a grieving father. The helicoptor pilot? We have no idea if she saw that head. The soldiers? Don't remember that being an issue. If I recall correctly that was explained that they were already killed by zombies before the Governor got there and took their supplies. Merle? Don't really understand your point since i didn't see him and Andrea have any conversations last night about what the governor is really up to.

She's an amazing character and right now is still working off the idea that the Governor isn't a total psychopath, Woodbury is a great place with great people worth hanging onto, and this whole thing wtih the prison is a big misunderstanding that can be worked out. As she gets more info she will figure it out and ultimately make the right decisions.

She doesn't need to act like Michonne and have instant distrust of the Governor. But after witnessing the acquariums, zombie coliseum "entertainment" and pitting Merle/Daryl fight to the death and not conclude this man is psychotic is just so weak.

The rumor was Mazzara got fired because the 2nd half of this season was so bad.

I'm starting to think that could be true. None of these episodes have matched the tension of the first half.

'The Walking Dead' names new showrunner

AMC made it official today by announcing that Scott M. Gimple will take over as showrunner and executive producer of The Walking Dead for season four. Production will resume in Atlanta, GA. on May 6.

Gimple has been on the show’s writing staff since season two. “Scott has been an essential part of this show since he came aboard at the very beginning of season two. He’s contributed to guiding this show in a substantial way that has resulted in a lot of the key scenes and storylines fans have dubbed signature moments of The Walking Dead,” said Executive Producer Robert Kirkman in a statement. “I am thrilled to begin work on a brand new season of The Walking Dead with Scott at the helm, and I truly believe we could be embarking on what will be the best season of this show yet.”

“I’m thrilled to continue the tradition of the spectacular, cinematic, horrifying, exciting and emotional storytelling of The Walking Dead,” added Gimple in a statement. “I’m a huge fan of the comics, and started with the show on the other side of the set, as an avid viewer. Over the past two years, it’s been an incredible privilege making such great television with the best cast and crew I’ve ever worked with – I can’t wait to make some more.”

Gimple was responsible for episode 306 (“Hounded”) and last season’s climatic mid-season finale episode 207 (“Pretty Much Dead Already”), which revealed Sophia in the barn.

Skyler is frustrating but her actions/thoughts are believable. Andrea's actions make zero sense. Also, the show has painted Andrea as "tough" and "bad ass" and she still sucks.

No. They absolutely make sense. Woodbury is a dream for someone living in that world.

She is making decisions to overlook things in order to ensure her survival. She could have killed the Gov. but didn't. Why? She's not sure if it would fuck everything up.

It's frustrating to us becasue we get to see every angle of everyones life on the show. She's currently making poor decisions. Will she always? Probably not. But it happens. People do dumb things when they are too trusting or are given information in small doses after being fed lies for a long time...
