A small group of brothers. Beardown just got a raging clue.
What does this mean?
Like SS said, a "raging clue" is a boner. The first sentence is what Bernstein said after a "brother" called in, though the caller never said he was black. Dan's comment was that there is a "small group of brothers" who always call in to say they dislike Thibs.
No erection from me. Disgust that Bernstein's racist is accepted and applauded by his staff and management. And that black people on this very board love Danny's racism for some reason. Or at the very least, justify it as "entertainment". Why is it accepted? I don't know. Maybe because Bernstein scolds racist callers of lower intelligence than he. As if racism should be accepted by smart people and not by dumb people with Chicago accents. Goff believed this as well.
The term "brothers" isn't racist, although it is anachronistic and bernstein is a little young to be using it. It was very common from both whites and blacks during my high school years. I don't really see picks with the black fist anymore either, but I'm sure someone still makes them.
bernstein's racism comes out in ways he doesn't even recognize. As in his childlike wonder that a big black businessman opens mail and drinks coffee just like a white professional. Hey! They're just like us!!!!!!
