I really like the idea of a Terry-Harry drive time show.

Yes. Real money.

That bio says he made $3.45 million off of one horse. It also said he owns cryptoclearance, who I bet is high six figures per load.

I don't know much about horses, but I hear boarding, training, vet bills etc are a fortune..that can't be all profit.
A little reading on cryptoclearance turns up he died@ 25 from heart attack. His stud fee was 15k...would have thought he would demand more $ .

Back in those days a good trainer was about 60/day not counting vet bills. The stud fee for Cryptoclearance was a little higher earlier in his life but dropped with age. He was a grinder and not explosive.Breeders want speed and explosiveness.

So he was a white horse. Breeders want a stud. ...to stud.

Cryptoclearance began his stud career in 1990 at Vinery near Lexington for a fee of $15,000 and ended up being about $5,000.

His baby is only fetching $500. http://www.stallionsnow.com/stallion-ad-660659

That's all well and good but that is not what breeders nor buyers want now. They want a win early pedigree along with explosiveness and speed.

Exactly. And buyers are a fickle bunch. You get a bunch of trainers sitting around the bar at Griffin Gate during the Keeneland sale and one guys asks another guy, "How do you like your Crypto?" And the other guys says, "Well, he's just a horse." And the first guy says, "Yeah, mine too." And the shine is off that stallion in a New York minute.

Sure, there is an elite group of buyers that simply chase the classics. But there are only a handful of horses good enough to compete in those races. Crypto certainly gave you stamina and staying power, but what happens if you spend a bunch on one and he just isn't cutting on the Derby trial? A huge percentage of American races are sprints. You want to have something that can go. That's why Storm Cat and Mr. Prospector have been so dominating in the stud.

Nobody cares about the horse stuff Buster. Everybody wants to know just how filthy rich Phil Teinowitz is. And the truth of the matter is that he made most of his fortune through his real estate company, and then pocketed all of it when he killed off his two partners.

I'm going to quote one of my friends from Highland Park. "We're all big men on the North Shore."

Beardown was right, there's no way C,Y & H could continue with such dreadful numbers. Now they just need to do something about Carmen, the guy has no business being a radio host.

I've only skimmed two forums, but so far you're 2 for 2 on crapping up forums with the same topic dipshit. Congrats. I assume every other forum will have a thread loosely related to the forum's topic but rehashing you're same batshit crazy take on the firing of an on-air guy from a sports talk station?

You are officially more annoying that Larry Holmes, beardown, and that's no easy feat. And for that, you suck.

No, Holmes is still more annoying. His voice is so goddamn grating.

I believe it is yiddish for a cheap or insignificant thing. I believe its origin is in cheap wallpaper.

The first time I heard the word was in Miller's Crossing when they used it in reference to John Turturro's character. I thought it meant gay because his character was a homosexual but my friends told me differently
