A column like this should take away any pretense or credibility to be critical of anybody who regularly writes a column. Any writer in Chcago should pull out this column the next time DB wants to devote more than 10 minutes talking about what they may have written.

And that small group of regular callers who irritate DB by being critical of John Paxson, this column is several hundred words clumsily dancing around their point. The next time one of them calls and Dan reflexively attacks them and employs his empty dismissive defense, this column ought to be cited.
