Right, he's just the highest paid and most respected meteorologist in the country because he's wrong all the time.

That makes sense.

And btw, weather.com is saying that the further south you are, the more snow you are going to get so I couldn't care less about what Skulling says about the north burbs.

Step off, Frank.....you're outta' line and outta' your mind.

Sadly, Ill bet Frank's obvious bias has to do with Skilling being on WGN. Frank hates WGN, because, well you know....

Im sorry but Ill take the Agriculture industry's opinion over yours on weather.

It doesnt really matter.

I do find it funny that you bitch when his predictions are off, but when he predicts a blizzard 14 days ahead of time, you dismiss it.

Once, over two years ago, he was spot on. Suspenders off to him.

He's been very far off dozens of times since, last Tuesday for example. And probably today.

Something about the White Sox getting over the 82-win mark or something.

He predicted 4-6", south burbs barely got 1/2 of that. North burbs got a lot more.

He sucks

So if you average out the amount of snow received in the Chicagoland area, he was spot on??......Okay

Skilling ‏@Skilling
Final snow tallies are in on Tue's snowstorm. O'Hare was hit with 5.5"-season's biggest snow & 28% the current 2012-13 season total 19.1".

Is 5.5 between 4 and 6?

Like I said, you apply his predictions wrong.

Fucking snow.

Fuck.

Also, Skilling sucks. He is completely unwatchable. 10 minutes of rambling nonsense. With another 10 minutes added on 15 minutes later. Just tell me what the fucking forecast is and move on.

The Weather Channel had basically the same predictions as Skilling did last week. I saw a thing on TWC about why the north suburbs and Wisco got more snow than predicted. Something about a dry pocket of air from the southeast crossing the lake at just the right angle, which was extremely difficult to predict.

TWC was predicting 7-10 inches when I went to bed last night. When I woke up this morning, they were predicting 5-8. This isn't an exact science, Franklin.

Not to mention that the weather channel is constantly updating and modifying the forecast so they seem more correct when you check in on them 2 hours before it starts when Skilling last told you 10-20 hours ago.

For the last major snowstorm we had, I was constantly checking the forecasts because my wife had to drive about an hour away the day it was starting. All of a sudden, something changed, and our forecast went up about 10 inches in about an hour which ultimately proved accurate. The guy who was predicting it the day before was wrong, but if he had been asked at the same time he'd have been just as right.

even if he's right all the time, he's not really paid to be right. He's paid to draw viewers. And big snow totals being predicted draws viewers.

Not really accumulating much here in Deerfield. Last night they were saying it would be 4 inches already.

The forecast changed around 8pm last night. What was supposed to start at 3:00am didn't start until 8am.

0.5" by 11am and then 1-1.5" per hour after...

I left work around 9:30 or so and there was already someone parked in the ditch on Rte 22 in front of Stevenson.

1.5, maybe 2" on the ground here in Stone Park. Wind has picked up over the last hour or so. Our parking lot and the frontage road is snowy, but North Ave is just wet.

Will be an interesting commute home though.
