I finally got caught up. Real strong show ,which means Fox will cancel it ala Firefly.

The show got a break, in that it took over the slot previously occupied by Mob Doctor. But unlike Mob Doctor, it does not have to compete with Monday Night football, Dancing With the Stars and The Voice. It has little competition for viewers, so it should get good ratings. However, it's gonna be interesting to see if once it gets picked up for 2014, if they switch it's day/time slot or keep it up against the stronger competition it would face in early fall.

The agent assigned to Shadow Kevin Bacon is part of the cult.

I thought about that possibility too. But then he saved him in episode 3 when the chick that went Rogue was about to kill him. Did he save him because it's not yet time to kill him though?

I originally thought the boss lady was in on it when she brought Joe the book.

That is what my thinking is. Joe has a plan an wants everything to go according too it. Like the guard who killed himself. He was saying how sorry he was not to be going according to the plan

Good episode again last night. Joe back on the loose now changes things big time. How could his lawyer not see that she would be killed after helping him escape? The compound they arrived at with all the followers there.....sets up for a pretty large-scale operation. The chick that sliced the guard open with a straight razor seems like a real sweetheart. Gonna be interesting to see if Joe can turn his son around and have him become one with the group now.

I still think this.

I liked the first few episodes. The last 2 have just kinda been "meh" for me. I don't know why Kevin Bacon didn't shoot the tires and/or engine on that SUV Emma and Joey were in.

I don't think it after seeing her backstory.

I agree with Steve that Joe being out will be interesting, as well as seeing if he can make Joey into a killer.

I screamed the same thing when the car was just sitting there and he had his gun out....why isn't this kid running away?

I still like the show but the "Good Guy's" sure do act stupid at times. They were a good deal of distance from Capt. Crazy and his associate at the end of the episode last night (white restaurant after the lawyer thing) and instead of sneaking up on them they scream, "FBI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and start knocking people over and, DUH, the bad guys get away.

At least they aren't spelling things out for us on a giant white board with bright colored markers or explaining Poe over and over again. I was very pleased when that rogue local cop threw in the "yeah, they are putting it through a router and bouncing it off a satellite!" when they were trying to trace emails from the house. I got the body language and it made sense after she shot the other cop.

I will still watch, I think it's a solid 6.5/10

Emma wants to Joey's new mommy.

Weston is a badass.

Roderick is a freak.

I agree.

I also think that this is was a good episode.

-Ryan is getting his wing clipped by the new suit.
-Weston is indeed a badass
-Some new angles at the "Murderers Compound."

I still have a feeling that the FBI Cult Lady is in on this somehow.

I've watched from the beginning but just caught up with y'all here. LOVE this show! And I also think the FBI Cult Lady knows is somehow involved. Of course I also thought Weston was a bad guy for the first few episodes, so what do I know?

Well I read in Entertainment Weekly that each season is self contained. Each season is 15 episodes long.SO not to much longer before it all wraps up

I'm not sure that's true.

“From the very beginning, we felt Kevin Williamson and Marcos Siega had created a high-quality, edge-of-your-seat drama that could break from the pack, and it is exciting to see the audience responding,” said Fox entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly in a statement regarding The Following. “Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy have given us two of the most compelling characters on television and the entire cast is incredible. I’m delighted to have this thrill ride continue on Fox for another season.”

That would seem like it will continue into next season.

Maybe they will rap up everything with Joe and the kid now, but leave something opened ended for next season.

I think Joe and the Sheriff that is on his side will end up (or already are) enemies.

Dude, that episode was fucking awesome.

When it's focused this show can be pretty good.

Still though, there are things that totally baffle me.

When the crazy lady killer was holding a nail gun to the head of the dark skinned Claire, why didn't the FBI just take a shot at her head?

I didn't particularly care a whole lot for last night episode, but that Tyson dude was a badass. I find I'm losing interest in this show, and I only keep watching because the lady really likes it.

Not sure what to make of Claire going so willingly into the car to take her to her husband and son. Was it to save Kevin Bacon's charachter, because she assumed had she not he would end up dead? Was it because of her overwhelming need to be with her son, whatever the cost? Or is she really a part of the cult?

For a little cult. More I think about it I think he is just gay for Bacon.

Also why the hell when he knew they where shooting up the place did the Marshall stand in front of the door?
I also do not give Emma too much longer till Jacob losses it and offs her. I also think Joe is going to be offed by his #1

There is definitely tension and/or a power struggle between Joe and Roderick, chas. Not sure who will end up on top, but I think its pretty clear that by season's end one of them is going to be gone. By gone I mean either dead or in jail.

I really do not think any of the top 3 in the Cult are going to be taken alive(Joe,Rodderick,Emma) the only one that might go alive is Jacob.

Two big problems I have with this show;
Why does anybody want to be in this cult? What is the plan? What is the point?

The other is Joe; Is he a lover, an abuser, a drunk, a killer, a Dad...? We've seen aspects of them all over the last 2 episodes.

Its still fairly entertaining though, and I will likely continue to watch.

This show has gotten a whole lot better during the last 4-5 episodes, it just took so long for the whole thing to get set up properly that it dragged a bit. Now things are cooking and it's become a solid show. Nothing award winning or whatever, but it's good entertainment.

Joe is feeling the pendulum swing back the other way, he's losing and he's going crazy. James Purefoy is killing the role and some people as well.
