Minnesota @ Hawks tonight at 7:30

Hawks look to continue the best start of any team in NHL history tonight against the Wild (11-8-2 24 points). *

The Wild only score 2.2 GPG which leaves them in the bottom quarter of teams in goals scored, which, when compared to the Hawks being absolutely the best in the NHL in goals against (1.7) leads one to believe we'll see a nice solid defensive game from the Hawks in which likely the first goal the score could be the game winner (also known as "Dusk Rules")

Minnesota sucks on the Power Play almost as bad as the Hawks do but they're damn fine on the kill so there's the likelihood that there's no PPG's tonight for the Hawks.

Let's keep the streak alive, Boys!

Yeah, you're right... I'd say it was a typo since I had their points right but I don't know how I put an 8 there instead of a 1...

I'd say thanks but I'll say up yours instead since that's what I do.

Nah, I didn't copy and paste, I just typed it in... but... strange I don't know how I did that but hey I'm allowed one mistake every couple years or so. I'm sure Walt will be cumming his underoos over that though, so I'll have something to ignore later.

So you'd think that he'd be on this afternoon given that schools are closed and everything.

Anyway, I hope they don't snowday this game. I have nothing else to do tonight.

Bolland will return to face the Wild Tuesday
Tuesday, 03.05.2013 / 2:48 PM / News
By Brian Hedger - NHL.com Correspondent

CHICAGO -- Dave Bolland will re-enter the lineup for the Chicago Blackhawks against the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday night at United Center.

Bolland has missed five straight games with an undisclosed upper-body injury and is anxious to rejoin his teammates while centering Chicago's second line between Patrick Sharp and Patrick Kane. The Blackhawks (19-0-3) still haven't lost in regulation through 22 games of the season and Bolland hopes to help extend the streak.

"I'm feeling good and I'm going to play tonight," Bolland said after Chicago's morning skate. "It's been great, even watching them on TV keep the [points] streak alive, so coming back and helping them out is a big thing in keeping this thing going."

At the same time, Bolland has been frustrated sitting out.

"It's never fun when you're sitting out games and [they're] winning and seeing all the fun that's going on," Bolland said. "It's always disappointing watching it on TV and seeing what's going on. I'm just glad I'm back and ready."

Bolland's arrival back to the active lineup bumps young center Marcus Kruger back down to the middle of the fourth line -- where it appears the Blackhawks will not have speedy right winger Michael Frolik on Tuesday night.

Frolik didn't participate in the morning skate because he's sick, which will have an effect on Chicago's dogged fourth line and penalty-killing unit -- which is ranked third in the National Hockey League (89.7 percent).

Based on how Chicago's forward lines looked in the morning skate, it appears that enforcer Brandon Bollig will take Frolik's place on the fourth line, with Daniel Carcillo on the other side of Kruger -- who did a good job filling in for Bolland on the second line.

"There's been different guys there [on the fourth line] almost every game, so I don't think it's going to change too much," Kruger told NHL.com, referring to Frolik's absence. "We have to have the same mindset and not try to change what we do."

Corey Crawford (10-0-3, 1.41 goals-against average) will get the start in net for the Blackhawks after picking up a 2-1 shootout road win this past Sunday against the Detroit Red Wings.

Of course...give them those free 7 wins and they'd still be behind the Hawks in points. WOOOOOOOOOOOO

Okay, I'm just going to go ahead and say it, because it's been eating me up for years.

I fucking hate the guy who does the anthem; not because of his inflections or gesticulations. I just fucking hate his voice, I hate how he sings it, I hate that he sings it in C-Major, the most banal of keys, he can't hold a steady note very long, just fucking keep it.

Go Hawks.
