To be fair, Mac said there were a "Few things" that go under his skin about Goff. We're all focusing on the "Da Ma Na" thing cuz that's the one thing we know about. But Mac said it was more than just one thing. Maybe this wasn't even the biggest issue.

I do remember one time they were hosting together and Mac said some ball busting comment to which Goff took major offense. I don't remember specifics but it was really nothing. Then the conversation between them got hostile and weird. Mac was kind of stunned by Goff's reaction. Sometimes Goff took sports arguments to damn personal with Mac and the conversation got confrontational when it shouldn't have. Like when Mac would have the meatball thought. Goff was never used to that with a co host since Bernstein told him exactly how to think on every sports topic. Goff would often forget that he wasn't talking to a caller. That it was Dan McNeil and you can't do Dan McNeil like a Bernstein caller.

That could have been it. Or maybe some other weird shit. We'll never know.

Mac shouldn't even deign to discuss Goff. Mac is a HOF'er. Goff couldn't even make a roster.

Went back in Goff's time line. The tweets I posted to start this thread were an exchange about McNeil with somebody else about the "issue". It actually started with a direct tweet from Goff to Mac. Or at least that's the way I read it cuz it starts with @Dan McNeil. So maybe Goff just read it here and shot out a tweet to Mac. So, to be fair to everybody, here it is in full context.

That's the way I read it too. Cuz Goff emphasized the "Business" part. That probably did sting him cuz he thinks it was a "Family".

Also, Goff's post to Mac seems cryptic. It's almost like a line you would hear in an old western movie where the Cowboy meets his enemy at the saloon. He's gotta stop being such a drama queen. Mac was certainly right about that.

Nothing in Mac's timeline. It doesn't even show Mac receiving Goff's tweet. But you can put that on private and choose the people that make your timeline, right?

So maybe Mac responded in private or he ignored Goff's tweet all together. Whatever the case, I guarantee you Mac rolled his eyes if he did see it. Somebody like Mac doesn't need this high school girly bullshit.

Maybe Mac is pretending it never occurred the same way Jason pretended his "relevant idiot" DaaMaaNaa never happened.

Maybe Mac read it, took a drag from his cigarette and blocked Goff from his twitter. Mac goes Bernstein style on one of Bernstein's soldiers!!!!! Ain't that a kick in the head.

So what's the purpose of all of this? What good can come of it?

First of all, it's throwing it back at Bernstein's and his boys telling people how to properly act when they, themselves, behave like savage uncivilized jerks all the time. They don't practice what they preach.

But it's also a lesson to aspiring broadcasters. Especially those that work at the Score. Especially for those who find themselves working for Bernstein.

The lesson: While it's allowed to act a fool and an ass hat at the Score, while it's actually encouraged on the B&B show. They pretty much bait you to attack and destroy everything in your path. It's easy to get swept up in the fun of all of it. Cuz B&B are laughing and celebrating it and it makes you feel good. Realize that you do piss off people. Sometimes people that matter. Sometimes people with influence. Sometimes you might not even realize of whom you're pissing off. Maybe it won't hurt you today, but it very well could down the road. That there is a world outside of the B&B show. That things you say and do matter. That it does all go to your reputation and how people perceive you. Just cuz it's allowed, encouraged and celebrated by Terry and Dan, doesn't mean you should always want to behave like a scum bag.

These are lessons many learn in there late teens or early 20s. Sometimes latter. I don't doubt the people that work for Bernstein learned these lessons this at one point. But it gets sucked out of their brains the minute they work for that Boers and Bernstein show.

B&B are made men. Nothing they do or say affects them. Realize that you are not them.
