Watched first two episodes this weekend and it wasn't too bad. Not really sure where this show is supposed to be
heading. I will continue watching a few more and see how it shakes out.

I think the point of the show, is just to give the viewer a peek into the world the Russian spys experienced aroung the period of time this all took place -1981. You see how the "evil empire" viewed our country, how their thinking about us may have changed over time. Also how they operated as spys in a time before advancements in technology allowed for much easier communication/operation. It "humanizes" the Russian people to a large degree too. I find it quite interesting. The disguises are good too.

Yes, I grew up during the end of the cold war and reading about Gorby and Reagan so I find the time period
pretty interesting. Better than average television I guess.

Cool that they are tying the Reagan assassination attempt into the show.

Keri Russel needs more half naked sex scenes. Looks like more next week.

Well I guess I'm done with this show, unless they update it OnDemand. It still isn't showing the episode from two nights ago yet.

Sometimes this happens with my system too. How many shows have there been? I have only seen the first two.

Three on there(1/30, 2/6, 2/13) now, I've watched the first two.

I know when I watched the On Demand last weekend they only had the first two on there so maybe for some
reason they run a week behind before making them available. Doesn't make sense to me but could be what is
happening.

Since the Walking Dead has been pretty brutal, I'm happy to watch a show with solid writing and acting.

Watched the pilot and that was pretty much it. The constant "just a reminder, this is THE EIGHTIES!!!" Music and other tidbits were too heavy-handed, and the FBI neighbor immediately suspecting something was up with them and 1) breaking into the garage and 2) Mr. Spy watching this happen from the shadows was just too much - that kind of plot turn is for the END of a season, not a beginning.

The scene in the last episode with her getting whipped with a belt (and very nearly with the buckle), while engaged in intercourse was a bit more edgy than I was expecting. Too bad it's not on Showtime or HBO, where it could really push the envelope. Really good storylines. There are some good action scenes too, but I like that there is more substance to this show than most.

Managed to get caught up on the three most recent episodes on demand. While I don't go out of my way
to watch this every week I am interested in seeing it completely through, at least for season 1. Next episode
they determine there is a mole in the Russian embassy. It is a quick moving show and you don't have to
think about the plot a ton so I enjoy that along with it being on demand it moves right along without the
commercials pretty good. Got a kick out of some of the wardrobe choices and remember the 80s fashions
a little bit.

I love this show. Its in my current top 4 with Shameless, Walking Dead and Justified.

The Following was up there for a while, but its just gotten so ridiculous it makes Lost seem believable.

The Following sucked. I gave up after three weeks, and Im annoyed that I gave it two weeks longer than I should have.

Tonight's episode looks good.

The Russians know there's a mole.

It doesn't suck. It's no more preposterous than 24 was.

Never saw 24, but Im assuming any show thats casts a 4 foot tall dude as the badass also sucks.

The Following doesn't suck because it isn't believable. It sucks because it sounds like a third grader wrote the dialogue, the acting isn't great (especially Bacon), and it just feels like a show that should be cancelled immediately.

The greengrocer's apostrophe in the title of this thread is driving me nuts. The American's what? What belongs to the American?

Last night's episode was solid.

Amador got jealous of Phil banging Martha and tried to intimidate him. That earned him a knife in the gut.

Stan thought the Russians captured Chris and went all Dark Side when he turned up dead.

I just caught up on the last two episodes of this show, and I'm beginning to lose my respect for this. Elizabeth continues to make stupid move after stupid move, and Phillip just continues to go along with her. These might be the worst spies I have ever seen. They're supposed to be cold blooded killers that will protect their spy identities by any means necessary. But in the past few episodes, they have knowingly put themselves in danger, for really no good reason at all.

Get it together, ya commies.

Stupid...

I am way behind on this show and can't figure out if I want to spend the time catching up. I think the
last episode I saw was when they framed that guy from Poland and the main character hooked up with
his old flame from Canada. I must be at least a month behind if not more. Completely forget about
the show when I have time on the weekends.

It's an interesting show, and I enjoy it for the most part. It's cool to see a story mostly told from the viewpoints of the "bad guys". It's just the moves they have made in the past few episodes have been definite head-scratchers.

So you figure I am only like 4 or 5 episodes behind? There is a big lag on my OnDemand for this show for whatever
reason. Worth it to catch up? I have enjoyed it for the most part. The writing could be better but I think the
wardrobes are a trip since I remember those clothes and of course the events that come up.

I think it's worth seeing through to the end. The season is only going to be 13 episodes, so you don't have too much more to get through.
