CTF, March 15th...White Sox/Cubs in Glendale, AZ. WGN's CW9 & WGN America have the game @ 2P, and it's the ONLY other Sox Spring Training game that cuts into Terry & Dan B.'s airtime on 670 The SCORE & the Chicago White Sox Radio Network.

Haven't heard any promos, but I believe The SCORE is also carrying the upcoming NCAA Basketball Tournament via the Dial Global Radio Network in 2 weeks from now, too.

SHARK, not to throw a proverbial monkey wrench into our wonderful relationship, but why are you referring to me as CTF? City The Fools?

"as soon as anybody questions Larry Bird in the least..." You and Bernstein piss all over Bird and his career and you have the audacity to make this statement. That McCallum interview was terrible. Amazing how you can talk to one of the oldest, most interesting NBA guys and get nothing entertaining out of it.

And can someone please enlighten me as to why B&B are always pissing on Bird yet Magic remains unscathed by them, with the exception of a few cracks at his lackluster defense.

Cardinals didn't win the World Series last year. Therefore, the enjoyment I got out of their comeback in Game 5 of the NLDS was instanstly negated.

Or not.

I think Terry was molested by some red-faced Hoosiers.

Why would you question him? He drank coffee and opened mail in his office and shot and passed better than 99.99999999% of all the brothers you hold up as big black professional studs.

Bird and Magic had similar athleticism and bodies, yet for some reason Bird receives much more criticism than Magic from them.

Well, you did announce it your intentions on the board, the show people/hosts read the board so they were able to foil your dastardly plot.

I think your call would have been great.

I wonder white that could possibly be.

Well, Magic is the greater player, and arguably the greatest non-center ever, but that kind of talk isn't acceptable in Chicago.

I wonder if Laurence Holmes was listening to that last soundbite coming back from Schuster's "Scoreboard". The one with NBC5's Cheryl Scott and "Shoot the Puck" that seemed to confuse Bernstein...

Yes, Magic is the greater player, although Bird was seen as the better player from about 1979-1986. Magic had better longevity as well. I disagree that he's arguably the greatest non-center, I think Michael is clearly better and I think LeBron will ultimately have a superior career.

Why is Michael "clearly" better?

I'd just like to state that "big black studs" and "LOOK AT THEIR BODIES" makes me very uncomfortable when uttered by Bernstein. Always has. Very slave auction-ish.

Because Bird is white.

For the record, there are awful white people, mostly concentrated in New England and other sundry hee-haw states, who profess that Larry Bird is the greatest player ever/evah citing the usual dog-whistle racism of basketball talk, which is annoying and offensive and dumb, but we are not in New England nor hee-haw country (though we are close to Indiana), and so this generally just amounts to the same sort of windmill-tilting that Dan does with so many other things, with a dash of quarter-assed social justice to make himself feel better about generally treating black people as remarkably human-like curiosities.

That answer has a very SHARKish feel to it.

Full name not used.
Only one sentence long.
Subject wasn't visually compared to someone else.

I was thinking more of the stubborn refusal to acknowledge the obvious.
