Toronto didn't really ascend to world-class city status till the 1970s or so. It's to be forgiven that their subway is basically five blocks long or whatever and they're instead stuck with a veritable rat's nest of expressways. Even worse than ours!

At least they were smart enough to put a greenbelt around the suburbs before it could sprawl any further.

It'd be nice if we could get more people to use the trains in Chicago. We have a railroad infrastructure most cities would kill for. Ridership is good, but could still be better. Gotta get more businesses downtown, I guess.

Selling my car was the best decision I ever made. The trains in Chicago are phenomenal. Unless you are a Brown Line rider during the past week or a South Side Red Line rider over the upcoming summer. Then you have my condolences.

Yep. Houston is awful. And they dont even have rush hours. It could be lunchtime and it looks like 290 at 5 pm.

We did the shittiest job planning our younger cities/metropolitan areas. People used to move to Phoenix to clear up their asthma. Now the whole damn valley is just a fucking bucket of smog. Let's never stop throwing down eight-lane arterials and expressways to nowhere so that people can spend their lives driving from one bubble to another and choking on their collective car exhaust. SMRT.

It's a good thing Goff is no longer covering the Bulls for his own sake. Had he been here, an hour before ESPNChicago.com broke the news, Goff would have tweeted the following.
