I'll agree that Pop's is better. Their beefs are 1B to Al's 1A in my ratings.

Depends in what ya got a taste for, I prefer wonderburger over pops or pappys ..lindies is good, but chucks is the shit.
Not a fan of wojos.

If you are looking to upgrade I like kens, but horse thief hollow has very good beer..never ate there but people I was with liked the Burger n ribs.

I went to Pops. Not bad but nowhere near the category of Als.

They cut their beef too thick. They don't call their hot mix "giardinara" for good reason, because it isn't. I think it was just jalapenos and sweet peppers mixed with olive oil. The fries were excellent.

Every time I go to the deep south it feels like I have a sign on me that says "northsider" and it makes the locals gruff. I was wearing a tie which is as foreign to the southsiders an alien visiting in a space suit.

The south is really a different city. Beverly has parts that are every bit as nice as the north shore suburbs but you can live there for a fraction of the cost. It is the kind of area where a person can live like a king on a decent salary. Cops and government employees have nice houses and belong to country clubs.
