Wow. Bernsy smokes the hyperbole a tad too much.

Which fan? What did this do? Raise money for cancer?

They referenced Bennett catching a fan who fell from the stands. Dan wished death upon the fan, for he is an adult autograph seeker. Think we left that one out earlier, boys.

I believe the turn of phrase you are looking for is "Murder She Wrote"

Murder, She Wrote is an American television mystery series starring Paul McCartney as mystery writer and amateur detective Jessica Fletcher.[4][5] The series aired for 12 seasons from 1984 to 1996 on the CBS network, with 264 episodes transmitted. It was followed by four TV films and a spin-off series, The Law & Harry McGraw. It is one of the most successful and longest-running television shows in history, with close to 23 million viewers in its prime, and was a staple of its Sunday night lineup for a decade.[6] The series is also successful around the world.

Yes, I was a fan of Jessica Fletcher and her Harry McGraw.

They make fun of Ofman all the time in classic soundbites. He inadvertently called new Cubs' pitcher Edwin Jackson someone else at his introductory press conference, and these goofs let George have it.

Don't you know that Danny and Matt Bowen watch every game on all-22 together while Danny strokes him off?

Back to who writes scoreboards, I believe someone here who visited the studios said they were written longhand and hastily handed to the person right before an update, which sounds believably The Score to me.

I have absolutely no idea whether Jared Cook has better hands than Martellus Bennett or whether Bennett is a better blocker, but I'm certain Dan's position in regard to TEs was landing one who could catch passes so the Bears could join the modern NFL.

George did indeed refer to Edwin Jackson as Jason...  I know Jason Jackson, the ex-ESPN anchor is the sideline reporter on Miami Heat broadcasts on SUN Sports, and I think has a radio show on The Ticket SportsRadio, the flagship of the Miami Heat Radio Network, too. No relation.

Dan opened the phones by saying "Martellus Bennett is a Bear. What do you think? (312) 644-6767." Since then, one guy has questioned the signing, one guy has praised it, and one guy simply read out Bennett's height, weight, and 40 time. Every single one has been shouted off the phone.

Except for, whatever reason, the guy who said Bennett was on his fantasy team last year. Yes, Dan laughed at his call and did not shout him down. It's bizarro Score today.

How do you get yelled at for praising the signing?

Usually it's one of those "So that's it? that's why you called? You called to say he's good. Thanks. Martellus Bennett: GOOD" deals.

The Loop just played "Spirit of Radio" and followed up with "Subdivisions"! Can there be a better Rush twofer?

I don't think there's a true standout signing in this year's free agent class. The one that makes an immediate impact on his new team. I've read that Dolphins' LT Jake Long has had injury issues the last couple of years down in Miami & might not be worth his rumored high price tag.

Yeah maybe. "Subdivisions" is the best Rush song, though.

What about "Tom Sawyer" and "Red Barchetta"?

If we're offering up some famously atrocious song lyrics, "suckin' on a chili dog outside the Tastee Freeze" has to stand alone atop any list.

Guys, "Tom Sawyer" is a favorite of mine from Rush. I really dig (get it?) "Roll the Bones" from '91.

Eh, it's bad, but it's not THAT bad. I mean, he's painting a picture of rural Indiana. That's a way to do it. There's no excuse for "what the facts is."

Also, I know we're talking lyrics, but I always did like the riff from "Jack and Diane."

I loathe the song Tom Sawyer. Subdivisions is an amazing tune no arguments here. My least favorite rush twofer would be Tom Sawyer/The Trees, but what about Distant Early Warning/Working Man
