Less than 50,000 humans left alive and like 20% of them are journalists. Seriously it's the end of the world why is the president having press conferences? :x :x :x Otherwise pretty good for the first season but not nearly the TV crack that Portlandia made it out to be.

To anyone who has seen this, is it worth investing in the entire series?

Hang in there. I get much better. Wait till they start the hidden 5 story line and the Pegasus storyline. The finale will leave you in awe.

I thought the first season was garbage, but stuck with it based on the advice of a couple friends. Seasons 2 & 3 are much better. I'm on season 4 right now, but I took a break a couple months ago, and havent gone back yet.

First season for sure seems weak. This whole "are you a Cylon" and Dr. Gaius' Cylon detector fells very sitcomy.

Yeah by season 4 it's kind of.... like.... you know?

You know?

OMFG [REDACTED] THERE'S FIVE [REDACTED] [REDACTED] COULD [REDACTED] [REDACTED?]

I think I've kind of alluded to some of the facepalmery without spoiling anything.

It's my favorite TV show in the last 10 years. Season 1 isn't the best season but I still enjoyed it a lot. There are some stinker episodes (Black Market, The Woman King, Scar...) but it tells a great story. I mostly enjoyed the pacing, it wasn't in a rush to get everything out at once. Specifically a lot of people got turned off by the mini-series pilot, but I thought they were perfect. Crossroads pt. 2 is up there in all time episodes. A lot of great acting too, aside from Grace Park.

It bothers me that they say "frack" rather than "fuck". In what dimension does the former have more vocal impact than the latter? This is ignoring the fact that it was shown on cable TV.

Yep. It is amazing once they get going in season 2. I wasn't as thrilled with the end as some people but at least there was one. Its worth it - stick it out.

It gets better when Starbuck decides to stop being a bull dyke.

Three episodes left in season one, the finance isn't really into marathon watching sessions of this particular show.

Nonsense.

I'd say it's a sign to drink more.

No, I wasn't thrilled with the ending, but didn't hate it. So as not to spoil, there were a few points in the last episode where if they had just ended it there it would have been a better ending, but it kept going.

Loved the show until about the last season and a half or so. Not sure when exactly but they got lost and the whole thing just got convoluted.

Ron Moore did a great episode by episode podcast if you can still find it and follow along. It adds a lot to the enjoyment IMO.

Only listened to a few commentaries through the show, did he say any of S4s unevenness came from the writer's strike? I know they were okay with the ending it would have had halfway through 4 if the strike didn't get settled, although that would have been pretty bleak for TV.
