/me turns off "crumblin 'erb" and shivers and shakes, detoxing from this shitty shitty song. jesus wtf is wrong with these guys? i'm so glad that they got the memo rapping about their so-called struggle never got them anywhere and never gave them any "street cred" which allowed them to go out and venture with sonic experiments that would eventually bear fruit (ha) like Hey Ya. It's a stain on an otherwise impressive rap career, although that Throw Your Hands in the Aye-rrrr track is pretty bad too.

Also, Billy Joel has a pretty good song with that Piano Man ditty. I don't know any other songs by the guy so I could just list that as #1-10 and you'd have my list.

Samples are fine too, but the 808 just captures a time and place that samples can't, I guess.

I hear you. When I say "know" that's exactly what I mean. The song comes on and I'm like"Ah. That's Billy Joel. Meh..." I'm quite sure I've been in a department store or somewhere like that and a song of his came on and I didn't notice.

I'm not discounting his talent. I realize it takes a lot of skill to write songs, compose music and sing. I've just never really gotten into him, I guess.
