Looked like Seabrook didn't respect his speed. Landeskog got going quick and by the time Seabrook realized he was flying, it was too late.

That's the thing with this match up. The Avs are one of a few teams that can skate with the Hawks stride for stride. We're not use to seeing that as Hawks fans. All season it's been "Well you'll out hit us but we can out skate you". It's not like that vs this team.

Well, except for Walt. Since he never really took a position he can say that he knew all along he was the goods.
IMHO he's been the benefactor of GREAT defense but he has played very well.

And Crawford hasn't been??? you're a jagoff too

we weren't talking about Crawford.
Since you asked, he plays behind the same defense that Emery does.

You're still a putz.

I suppose that anytime that emery is mentioned we should also talk about crawford in the same post?

That's another great goal for Kane. How kind of him to let Seabrook get the goal. What a team player.

Remember when people wanted to trade him for Ryan Miller?

The Hawks really let up at the ends of periods, it seems.

I hope the Hawks trade for Hejduk at the deadline so that Mac and Spiegel can give us

Hejduk
Don't be an Av
Take our third line
And make it better

I'm open to it, but fear he might require too much going back. You have your sights set higher than I do, though. I was only thinking Marcel Goc.

On the stat tracker comment section I was watching it said he was hurt on a hit by Mitchell.

Thanks. Jesus, this guy...
What do you do? Give him a couple weeks off? He isn't taking hits well at all this season.

Yea, a smaller move is way more likely. Boyd Gordon would be a nice pick up if PHX wants to sell.

They never do. They always seem to be allowed to add salary at the deadline, despite being owned by the league.

I don't much care for Gordon, anyway. So he's a defensive center who blocks shots. We're well accounted for there. If we could buy from Phoenix, I'd rather have Vermette or Korpikoski.

Vermette has sort of a tough contract 2 more years @ 3.75 that would be tough to fit under decreasing cap and some contracts coming up. Though, you're right, he would be a perfect fit this year.

Corey Perry 8 years 69 million = 8.625 APY. Another overpayment by the Ducks.

Iron man Hossa goes down again

Coincidence? Bad luck?

I defer to the hockey minds here but seems like he's injury prone

Sounds like he was unable to return and not just getting the rest of the night off and that he is probably out for Anaheim too.......and it wasn't Mitchell as I read earlier who hit him, it was O'byrne.

Nice spin. By simple chip did you really mean that he got stood up at the blue line, knocked 3 feet backwards by a smaller player, lost the puck and by the luck of the irish it popped out of the zone and onto Stalberg's stick when it could've just as easily gone back into the Hawks zone?

You and I have very different definitions of what a "simple chip" is apparently.

Don't like to see Hossa go out, but the silver lining is that it finally forced Q to put together what should've been his 1st line all season long, Saad-Toews-Kane. At this point, Kane is about 10x the player Hossa is and it showed last night once that line got together.
